Tilda WIth Star

Good morning, I'm here with you this morning with a card that I have made for Swedish House Crafts! I hope that you are all getting sorted for Christmas.

There is 5% off the goodies that I have used just quote code Y88594C4F2OEG it's valid throughout December too, and not all of them are Christmas items.

I have coloured Tilda with Star with my distress reinkers, and added lots if sparkle with glamour dust and stickles.

I have used a nested stitched oval to cut Tilda out, all of the edges have been distressed with Walnut Stain ink.

These are Doohickey mistletoe dies, and I have used small pearls for the berries.

I love these snowflakes, from Gummiapan and think they look lovely with a pearl and some stickles on too.

Christening Card

Morning everyone, Becky here with you today with a card I have made for my friends baby's christening.

I have used the super cute Chubby Baby Feet and coloured them in with my distress inks and I have used one of the nested stitched ovals dies from Gummiapan.

Here's a close up of those super cute feet...

And my usual flowers, I don't think that I have made a card for ages without a white curled rose, and I have added a dash of darker pink with three vivid fuchsia paper flowers.

I have used both sides of Enjoying The Fragrance from Maja Designs Sofiero collection.

Thank you for popping by,

Lucky Mouse

Morning everyone, Becky here with you today, thank you to Katie for stepping in for me on Monday. A nasty tummy bug had hit our house and I didn't have the oomph to do anything.

Those observant ones amongst you may have noticed this image on my desk during the blog hop...

I decided to go with a muted theme, with a few pops of pink, on both the image and by using VIVID FUSCHIA PAPER FLOWERS. The papers are from Maja Designs 6x6 paper pad LIFE IN THE COUNTRY.

Another fuschia paper flower along with a WHITE CURL FLOWER.

Unfortunately Gummiapan no longer make this gorgeous alium die :(   but the other Gummiapan dies are still available, the Chicken Wire die is available HERE and also the Stitched rectangle which is HERE. These nested stitched dies are perfect for using on images. The other flowers are a WHITE GREEN CHERRY BLOSSOM, a WHITE DAISY and a frozen pomegranate.

Have a lovely weekend, and thank you for popping by,

Hugs,

Swedish House Crafts First Year Celebrations Blog Hop

Hello everyone, and welcome to my stop on the SHC blog hop to celebrate Suha's first year of business! You should have come here from Nancy's blog HERE, if you're just joining the hop here and you want to hop along properly please go to the SHC blog HERE and hop along.

As you may already know I used to craft in the attic, but my daughter was in a tiny room so we swapped over, but I kept my blog URL. I have a few pics to show you of how I have managed to make this small space work, and tried not to capture too much of the mess, lol. See if you can spy what other crafty things I also do....

First off I will start with where I sit, I do sometimes colour in in the front room or kitchen, but there is always a cup of coffee near by-I have lost count of how many times I have dipped my brush in my cuppa, lol. Fastened to the underneath of the shelf is an old towel rail that I fully utilise, that is where the towel goes that I use with my DI's when I am not using them. That blue box has my DI's in, i have used mini eppendorf tubes to keep them in, in my day job I am a scientist so this is just a bit of two parts of me coming together. There are a few pictures that Grace has coloured in for me, hiding behind my card there is a picture of me and my mam, it would have been her birthday yesterday. A day light lamp is an absolute necessity, and I like to keep what I use near by which is why there ismy cuttlebug and paper cutter at arms reach.

Next is above my desk, I'm sure you will be starting to tell that I like to keep stuff near at hand. My DI's are in a cabinet from a carpenter I have bought quite a bit from, his name is Rod and he sells on eBay, the cabinet directly above that is by him too and that is for the pads. I bought my copic storage off a crafty friend on Facebook. Then there is my frantage, dymo, glue, stickles all just above my head.

Then this is slightly to the left of the last one, my paper and photo area. I butchered this cabinet as I was running out of space, and apart from catching my head on the corner a few days ago (and drawing blood) it has worked really well. I was sick of having to wait for good light to take my photos, so I set up this photo area, and with the help of a step stool I can take pictures whenever I please!

Just below this is where I keep my stamps, I got the cabinets off eBay, I like them so much I even have one in my bathroom!! My sewing machine is also here for when I stitch my papers. The purple pencil case has my Inktense Pencils in.

The door is just to the left of this, and the other side of the door is this. The large frame was supposed to be for posters, but I have glued magnetic sheet on, and the rack above is for nail varnishes, but I have used it for my overflowing distress ink collection.

Then finally the last photo I am sharing with you (the rest of the room is more of a mess than what I have shown you)... This is a white board with the magnetic sheets glued on again, and the punches are on Ikea storage things, with some border dies on magnetic knife racks, also from Ikea. Just in shot is my electric ebosser to use with my XXL dies, and die storage drawers also from Rod.

As we are having a blog hop then of course we have prizes up for grabs... Leave me a comment and I will pick a random commenter to win this, Me and My Snowman Tilda, just in time to make your Christmas cards.

But, the fun doesnt stop there, these are the last letter that you need to enter the giveaway on the SHC blog, HERE.

Thank you for hopping around, I hope that you have enjoyed seeing our crafty areas :)

Hugs,

Becky xx

It's My Boy's Birthday Today

Morning everyone, Becky here today. Twelve years ago today I became a mam, and fell hopelessly in love with my son, and everyday I become more and more proud of this lovely young man that I brought into the world. The card that I have today is the card that I have made for him...

I have used the same sheet of DP from Maja design, just rotated it by 90° to make this effect, the sheet that I have used is Pocket Square from Denim & Friends.

The clipboard is from the Magnolia Halloween Kit, and I can see this getting a lot of use! I have also used the Galaxy Lace die, I love how this works for both male and female cards.

And, again I have used the Jute die behind the image.

Tonight I am taking my boy out for a steak, and a custard cream birthday cake :)

Hugs,

Halloween Kit

SPOILER ALERT, THIS POST HAS PICTURES IN FROM THE GOODIES IN THE HALLOWEEN KIT, IF YOU'RE NOT OPENING YOUR KIT STRAIGHT AWAY COMEBACK LATER....

Today we are joining with Shawn from Magnolia-licious as already Shawn has been the owner here for over a year!!

Today Tamara, Liz and I from Swedish House Crafts are showing our designs using items from the Halloween Kit, available from HERE

Make sure you pop around our blogs and leave a comment as on SHC's first birthday, on 5th November, someone will win some Gummiapan goodies.

I have coloured Toothache Tilda with my distress reinkers, and used the tooth tag die and tablet bottle dies too from the kit. The shape of the card has been cut using a die from an earlier Doohickey club kit.

I have used a 'Get well soon' die from Gummiapan, available HERE, these dies cut like a dream, I have also used a Gummiapan die to cut Tilda out, it is one of the Nesting Stitched Ovals.

And here it is in close up.

Unusually for me I only have two flowers on here, a white curled flower and a vintage white flower.

And here is the tooth die.

Thank you for popping by, and remember to check out the blog you will see the goodies up for grabs.

Birthday Boy

Morning everyone, Becky here with you this morning, with a card that I have been asked by a work friend to make for her brother.

She told me that he supports West Brom, so I immediately thought of this image in these colours, and the papers from Denim and Friends are perfect. I have used the 12x12 POCKET SQUARE and STARS AND STRIPES. I have alos used some sheets from the 6X6 PAPER PAD.

Behind the image I have used the Doohickey JUTEand I have used the GALAXY STAR LACE too.

I have also used the CELEBRATION STARS to keep the star theme going.

I do like using the 6x6 sheets that have a lot of blank space for the inside of cards.

Thanks for popping by,

Hugs,

Becky xx

Sweet Pants Tilda

Morning everyone, Becky here with you this morning. Autumn is fast approaching us here in the UK, with dark nights and mornings, and getting cold, and SOOO not my favourite time of the year. I like late spring with all of the flowers coming out.

I have made todays card with papers from Pion Design's Where The Roses Grow collection.

SWEET PANTS TILDA has been coloured with distress reinkers, I think her little bunches are so cute. I have used three sheets of Pion Design papers, ROSE PATCH, IN THE GARDEN and also ROSE MEADOW.

Here is a close up off Tilda, I find colouring with DI's sometimes involves a bit of luck how things turn out, this time her hair worked lovely for me :)

Here I have used a leaf that comes with the VINTAGE WHITE PAPER FLOWERS WITH LEAVES and one of my favourites, WHITE PAPER FLOWERS WITH CURLS.

Tucked behind Tilda is one of my new dies, and one that I think you will see a lot of, its from Gummiapan and is called Hens Net.

Have you seen all of the new flowers that Suha has? You really have to keep checking as she sneaks them in without us knowing, lol! I have used some more leaves and also a flower from the VINTAGE WHITE FLOWERS WITH LEAVES. GLISTENING WHITE FROZEN POMEGRANATE the red ones of these will be perfect for Christmas cards. There is also a CHERRY BLOSSOM, a STRIPED LIGHT PINK FADED FLOWER, a BABY PINK PAPER FLOWER and another WHITE PAPER FLOWER WITH CURLS.

And here is my arty shot so that you can see all of the layers.

Thank you for popping by,

Hugs,

Becky xx

Monday 18 September 2017

Yay It's My Birthday - Well it was last Monday, lol.

Good morning everyone, Becky here with you today, and it's already my second post of the month! Where is this year going? My son has started at secondary school, and I have just applied for my daughters place for next year-I really need time to slow down a tad.

YAY IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY Tilda has been coloured with distress markers to match the Sofiero papers from Maja Design and I have used one of the NESTING STITCHED OVALS from Gummiapan to cut her out.

From the Sofiero collection I have used MAGNIFICENT FLOWER STREET and ROYAL SUMMER RESIDENCE, I have distressed the edges and machine sewn them.

Behind the image I have some cheesecloth and I have used the DOODLE CIRCLE from Gummiapan, and added a bit of Gesso too.

Tucked amongst the flowers I have used a Doohickey HEART TAG.

I like adding height to my flowers, so at the back I have used the Doohickeys GRANDPA'S FLOWER LEAF and COUNTRY LEAVES. Some of the flowers are from my stash, I also have used STRIPED FADED LIGHT PINK FLOWERS and DAISIES.

Thank you so much for popping by, if you click on the products written in CAPITALS then it will take you straight to the product in the store.

This card is listed in my Ebay shop HERE.

Hugs,

Becky xx
