Baby Blocks

Hello to followers 5 and 6, Christina and Tracey.

One of my best friends had a baby girl yesterday, so what better excuse than to combine the card with a challenge, lol. The challenge I've chosen is wild orchid challenge 20 - a sketch.

The image is House Mouse Baby Blocks which I got from Simon says stamp, I love these little mice but can't find a huge collection in the UK. We're off to the States in August, and methinks I may have to have a mooch while I'm there, lol.

The image is coloured in copics;
Mice: E40, E41, E42, E43 and E44, with R20 for cheeksand tails.
Hands, feet and faces: E50, E51 and E53.
Walnut: E33, E47 and E99.
Blanket: RV000, RV02 and RV06.
Blocks: BV000, BV00, BV01 and BV02.

The flowers and stemens are all from wild orchid crafts, as is the seem binding.

The sentiment is from lili of the valley. I've coloured the flowers in with my cherry pink embossing pen, then added clear embossing powder and embossed it, I think this gives a lovely wet look sheen.

I've used my circle and oval nesties along with my Magnolia doohickeys.

The pink card is from my stash. The larger background paper is from Perfect Pair Too from and the other smaller piece, which is actually a lovely pale pink cloud effect, which has not been picked up to well in the photies is from My Baby Girl Love from This is actually a free download. I love paper downloads as I like the flowers to be quite ditsy and small and as an added bonus if you print them out to scale on A5 paper the size is the exact size I need to have as my background on my 15cm x 15cm cards.
