Sorry Candy

This is a sticky, please scroll down for my recent posts.

Hi everyone, hello to my followers, both old and new. I'm just popping a little candy on my blog for a week, just to say thank you for all of my lovely comments, they really do mean a lot, and also to say sorry, I've not been commenting a lot recently. I still look at your work, but I'm just a bit down at the moment and I've not found my ooomph to comment, I will get myself pulled round, but for now here's a very small candy.

It's a brand new Quickutz Corner die, I will ship all over the world, I will be drawing a winner from comments. You don't have to be a follower, and you don't have to display anything on your blog, it's just a little thank you from me, and my way of making me feel better for not being a conscientious blogger recently.

Hope you're enjoying your Sunday, I'm about to go to work on a 3-9 shift, but we're currently watching the Hearts and Motherwell game as our nephew is currently on the bench for Motherwell, and we're waiting to see if he gets his game (anyone who is interested our nephew is Stevie Hetherington).

Something A Little Different

Hi my lovelies, here's something totally different from me.

I needed to make a quick card for my husbands godson, who is also my friends son and my son's friend. I've recently discovered Bearly Mine Design and these are papers from the The Boys Zone, absolutely perfect for boys cards.

As I said it is something totally different from me, the image is actually a pre coloured image from LOTV, it is from Having Fun Die Cut Designs, I didn't even know I had these, I just stumbled upon them when I was supposed to be tidying, you know how it goes, lol.

I'm entering this into the 'Easel Card' challenge at Bearly Mine Challenges.

Girlie Christmas at Lili's Little Fairies

Hi my lovelies, this week at Lili's Little Fairies our theme is 'Girlie Christmas', a great one to get your teeth into.

For this card I took inspiration from Debbie Dolphin for the shape, using Go Kreate Frilly #7 Squares. For my image I've used Snow Queen, inside the shaker card I've once again got Diamond Dust, this catches the light is such a pretty way. I've also used it for the snow falling, using glossy accents to give it a bit of dimension. I was making the most of being able to spend time in the attic, and I'd not let the glossy accents dry before I assembled the shaker. When I saw this the next day I almost ripped it up, but I have come to like the washed out vintage look, what do you think?? As always I've used my distress markers and inks to colour my image in, and the papers are from last years Maja Design Christmas collection.

The roses, poinsettia's and silver cord are all from WOC. The silver swirly things are a gift, thank you Sandy, the Blue Rolled Roses and the White Chrysanths are by Kort and Godt and are from The Ribbon Girl.

Is anyone else going to the LOTV Open Day this Saturday? I am, it's my first crafty type visit, and I'm taking Grace along for company, I might get to see some of you there?

Hugs,

Four Legged Friends at Midweek Magnolias

Happy Wednesday everyone, I'm back with my second card of the day and it's for the Four Legged Friends challenge at Midweek Magnolias. This can either be Tilda or Edwin with an animal, or one of the animals from the collections.

I decided to ink up one of my new stamps, Tilda With Little Rudolph has been coloured with my distress markers and I've added some subtle sparkle with some glamour dust.

I've used Maja Design Christmas papers from last years collection, I've distressed all of the edges with walnut stain ink. I've used Gold Glitter Mesh from The Ribbon Girl. The roses are from WOC.

I've used my mini poinsettia die, and then fastened them onto the card using Ivory Silk Pearl Brads, I've also used 5mm Self Adhesive Pearls too.

I managed to pick up faded denim when I went to do the floor, don't ask, so I ended up having to do the sky in this colour, with pumice stone for the shading, and this is a mistake I'm going to make again, I love how this looks. Have a pop over to Midweek Magnolias there are some lovely cards for your inspiration.

Hugs,

Angels

Hi my lovelies, hows your Wednesday going? I want to say thank you to all of the lovely comments that have been left on my Sorry Candy post, there's some really sweet comments on there, just reminding me how nice people are. I know we're not expected to comment on everyones cards, one person said that there should be a wave button, just so people know that you've popped by, and I think this would be a nice touch.

I've made this card for the 'Fa La La La' challenge at MDUC, the song for my card is Angels by Robbie Williams, I have to admit for having a soft spot for Robbie, I've seen him twice and once with Take That last year, I'm also entering it into the 'Sparkles and Swirls' at Simply Magnolia, and also into 'Anything Goes' at 'Fashionista. I'm also entering the three dies at Magnolia Mania Challenge  I've used an oval nestie, another oval nestie and a Tim Holtz strip for the holly and the swirls. I've coloured Little Tilda in with distress markers and pads, for her dress I've used Evergreen Bough from the Winter Seasonal Distress Inks. The papers are Victorian Angels from Fab Scraps, I couldn't cover up that gorgeous Angel on the DP. I've covered Tilda's wings with Crystal Glamour Dust, I love how that sparkles.

I've used two flowers of the Dark Chocolate Primrose Organza Trim, and also some of the Oyster Cream Rhinestone Lace behind Tilda.

The roses are from my WOC, and the holly has been cut out of some gorgeous gold card I've had an age using a Tim Holtz die. There's also a Prima Fabric Flower, a chrysanthemum, a Rolled Rose and I've pulled apart a Kort and Godt Berries Decoration. There are also two Berries Pins.

That's it from me, check back a little later when I'll have my DT card for Midweek Magnolias.

Hugs,

Jingle Jangle Tilda

Hi everyone, hope you're having a lovely weekend, it's my turn to bring you some Inkido inspiration for Live and Love Crafts.

Jingle Jangle Tilda has been coloured with distress markers, I've used Forever Santa 6x x6, and slightly distressed the edges.

I've used pearl centers, a berries pincream chrysanthemumscream rolled roses and some gold jingle bells. I've also added some Snowtex, I love that stuff.

The pearls in the corner are Melissa Frances Pearls. I've used brown organza roses trim with milk tulle.

I'm entering this into the 'Fa La La La' challenge at MDUC, with Jingle Jangle Tilda and all of my bells tucked around the card, there's only one song for this, 'Jingle Bells'.

Hugs,

Merry Christmas At Tilda's Town

Hello everyone, the weekend is almost upon us and it's time for another challenge at Tilda's Town, this week our theme is Merry Christmas.

I decided to make my first ever shaker card, it was fun to do I just wished I'd chosen a smaller image as the frame took some doctoring. I've coloured Snowy Tilda in with my distress markers. The papers are by Maja Design, this is last years collection, I can't wait to get my mits on this years.

I've distressed the edges and machine sewn them with top stitch thread. The roses are from WOC, the chrysanths are from here, the berries were a gift of the lovely Mary and are available here. I've covered the flowers in stickles.

To hide the foam pads I've wrapped natural twine around the shaker just to tidy it up a bit, and I've kept the natural theme going buy wrapping it round the card and by adding a snowflake charm from my stash, I've also added jute fabric behind the image.

I've ran the acetate through a snowfall embossing folder just to add to the snow scene.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges;
'Shaker Card' at MDUC
'Use Kraft' Dutch Magnolia Chickies
'Anything Goes' Deep Ocean Challenges.
'Anything Goes' at Fashionista Challenges.

Please have a look over at Tilda's Town where there is some amazing inspiration from my teammates.

Hugs,

Becky x

Anything Goes at Lili's Little Fairies, by a Full Time Fairy :)

Hi my lovelies, it's Anything Goes this week at Lili's Little Fairies, I'm also passed half way through my GDT spot here,  I had scheduled this post, but I've now been asked to join and be a full DT member, yay, I'm so happy :) and of course I said yes immediately!

I decided to go with a Wedding Card. I think this stamp 'Wedding Couple' is just the cutest, to me it looks like kids dressed up, but with the most adorable expressions on their faces. As always I've used my distress markers to colour the image, it is amazing how long it takes to colour in an image to make it look white!

I'm into not totally square cards at the min, bet you've noticed, and this has been made using one of my Go Kreate XXL dies, I like it when I can be bothered with the these as they make the cards look something else. The Pearl Lace is from The Ribbon Girl, I've carefully removed the pearls that would have been behind the image and fastened them to the tag along with a piece of ribbon from my scraps box. The Love charm is from Live and Love Crafts.

The roses are WOC, but the White Magnolia Shabby Chic Tinsel Dahlia is from Live and Love crafts as is the Bordeaux Rolled Roses and Chrysanthemums. I've used Memo Pins for the sentiment. The paper is from Magnolia.

I'm entering this card into the 'Anything Goes' challenge at Fashionista Challenges.

Hope you're all OK,

Hugs,

Becky xx

Ribbon Or Trim at LHOSM

Hi my lovelies, it's time once again for another challenge at Lovely Hanglar Or Sweet Magnolia, this time we want to see your creations with ribbon and/or trim.

For this challenge we're sponsored by Live and Love Crafts, there is a £10 voucher for the winner.

I've used my newest Tilda, sorry I don't know her name as of yet, I've coloured her in with my distress markers, and added subtle sparkle with some Crystal Glamour Dust. The papers are from Maja Design, from the 6x6 Vintage Summer pad, I adore these papers. I've distressed the edges and then machine sewn them using Top Stitching Thread

I've used some gorgeous Berries Pins, I need to get more of these, I'm not really one for pins, but I love these. The roses are from WOC and the chrysanthemums are from here. I've also used some gorgeous Pink Velvet Lace from here, and also some Pearls. One of my colleagues at work is turning 50 soon, so I've made this card for all of us to give her, so I've not decorated the inside I've put in a blank insert so there is enough space for us all to write on. The shabby seam binding is from Live and Love Crafts, it's currently out of stock at the moment, but Sandy is hoping to have some more in very soon.

Pop over to LHOSM and have a look at the gorgeous inspiration from the girls over there, we can't wait to see what you create.

I'm entering this into
'Dies' challenge at Magnolia Stamp Lovers.
'Bingo' at Dutch Magnolia Chickies, I've used the middle horizontal line.

Hugs,

Across The Miles

Hi my lovelies, I've never been a big Christmas Card sender, I just don't have the time, I prefer to donate to charity and at work I send cards to each department, but I do send special people cards. My Uncle is one of them. Although he lives in New Jersey, and we live in England we are very close, so one of the cards that does come from me goes to my Uncle Rob, or Unc. The challenge this week at Lili's Little Fairies is for a Traditional Card, so I've used this opportunity to make a card for my Unc and Tracy.

I don't think you can get any more traditional colours than red, green and gold. I've coloured Christmas Bears Mistletoe with my distress inks and added sparkle with Gold Glamour Dust

The papers are either last year, or possible the year before from Basic Grey, I've distressed the edges and then machine sewn them using Top Stitch Thread, I've also added a couple Pearls.

The roses are from WOC, the chrysanths are from here, I've been quite generous with gold stickles, from here. I've also used a Christmas Mini Tag from LOTV. The gorgeous red velvet lace is from here.

Hope you're all OK, nights tonight for me and then a nice long weekend off work, I won't know what to do with myself, yeah right ;)

Hugs,

Becky xx

Masking At Midweek Magnolias

Hi my lovelies, it's Team A's turn this week at Midweek Magnolias, and this week we want to see your masking creations. I've got a tutorial here on how to do this.

I've masked Tilda With Christmas Hearts onto a bench, but I'm not sure which collection it's from. I've coloured the image with my distress markers, and covered the hearts with Crystal Glamour Dust,

The edges have all been distressed with Walnut Stain. For the flowers I've cut a Prima Autumn Leaf in two, and then added two Berries PinsKort og Godt Berries, a Prima Fabric Flower and a Kort og Godt Rolled Rose. I've added a Tea Party Doily behind the image too.

I've used some Shabby Seam Binding, which will be coming back into stock soon and added a charm from my stash. Along the top I have stuck some Brown Organza Roses Trim.

I still need your help over at Fashionista Challenges, I've been picked in the top 5 by the DT, but I need your vote to be peoples choice winner, that is if you like my card. They also have a commentors candy over there too.

I'm entering this into the 'Doily Charm' challenge at Simply Magnolia, and also into the 'Anything goes with  fabric' at Just Magnolia

Books And Friends At Vilda Stamps

Hi everyone, it's the 10th of the month so it's my turn over at Vilda Stamps.

This month I've chosen to make a card with Vilda Stamps V427 Book Rat and paired him up with V493 'Books and friends should be few and well chosen!', don't they go well together. I've coloured him in with my distress markers.

The papers are from Maja Design, the rolled Kort and Godt roses are from here.

Here's my arty shot.

And a close up, this is a CAS card for me. I was placing more flowers on, but it didn't look right, so I decided to go with what looked ok, lol.

Boobie Love

Hi everyone, here's my Pink Week card for Breast Cancer Awareness for Live and Love Crafts. This is something I do feel very strongly about, my Mam was diagnosed with Breast Cancer after a routine mammogram about 12 years ago, I myself have also had a scare, the 10 days or so before I got the all clear were horrendous.

As soon as I saw the theme this week, there was only one image I even considered using Krista's Boobie Love, this is a free download. I've coloured her in with my distress markers. I've added bits of sparkle with Glamour Dust.

The papers on the front are Small Leaves from Pion's Studio of Memories collection, the edges have been distressed with Walnut Stain. I've used Bubblegum Tulle Pleat Trim around the image, and shabby seam binding, the charm is from my stash. The inside is another Maja design paper, I've used a Tim Holtz on the edge die.

I've put Cream Melissa Frances Pearls in the corners. The flowers are Pink Magnolia Shabby Chic Dahlia TinselPink PoppiesCream Rolled Roses and Cream Chrysanthemums. I've used tiny attached staples and a paper clip, I work in a lab so I don't have office supplies to hand for inspiration, lol.

I'm entering this into the '2nd Annual Link Up For Pink' challenge at Link Up For Pink, this is a Breast Cancer Awareness blog that I've just discovered on Facebook.
I'm also entering this into the 'Office Supplies' challenge at Saturated Canary Challenge Blog, there's a paper clip and some staples, as I said in my post I work in the Path Lab of our local hospital and we don't have many office supplies, now my desk at home is overflowing with crafty stuff so...... ;)

Hugs,
