Anything But A Square At Lili's Little Fairies

Hi everyone, today at Lili's Little Fairies sees the start of a new challenge, our theme this week is 'Anything But A Square'

I've used a Go Kreate die to cut the shape of the card, the papers are Caladium, from Little Darlings. I've coloured Emma Shoes in with Distress Markers, and added sparkle with glamour dust. I've got a few friends turning 30 this year, and I though this image was perfect for one of them, she 'likes' shoes, so say no more.

The lace, ribbon, blossoms, carnations, trim, ribbon, iridescent beads and ribbon are all from the Ribbon Girl, the roses are from WOC.

I've had those little tags for ages, and I love them for adding little sentiments.

Gingham At Midweek Magnolias

Hi everyone, I'm here today with my DT card for Midweek Magnolias, this week our theme is 'Gingham'.

I've stamped Tilda With Little Pocket and used no lines again and coloured her in with Distress Markers and Refils. You can probably tell I'm liking colouring like this at the minute, I think part of it is that it has been a bit lighter recently and I can actually see the lighter lines, lol.

The papers are from Maja Designs Shall We Have Coffee Collection, I love these browns and really don't use them enough. I have distressed the edges with Walnut Stain distress ink and layered them up. There is Camille Lace and Chocolate Gingham Ribbon, and I've added one of the new charms from Live and Love Crafts, Angel Glory, to this ribbon. The roses are from WOC, the rolled roses and chrysanthemums are from Kort og Godt with stickles to make them sparkle. On Tilda's flowers the sparkle is from Glamour Dust with some liquid pearls on too.

Pop over to MWM where the girls there have some amazing inspiration for you.

Hugs,

Becky

Love & Lace at Deep Ocean

Ooo, I'm so excited to let you all know the newest DT I am on, but you've probably guessed from the post title, yep that's right, I'm now part of the amazing Deep Ocean Challenges Design Team, our theme this fortnight is 'Love and Lace'.

I told you the other day that you would be seeing a few 'No Lines' from me, lol. But, for this one I had a bit of a brainwave, when I add the eyes, eyebrows and freckles in I don't always get them just right and I am not overly happy, so just as I was going to sleep, you know just when your brain gives you things to think about, I came up with this plan, and it works a treat. I inked my stamp up with cloudy blue, and then got a cotton bud and inked it up with black stazon ans then inked the eyes, eyebrows and freckles, it works a treat.

I've coloured Lonely Tilda With Her Heart with distress markers and pads, I've tried out a slightly different hair colour and I like what I see. I've added sparkle to the heart with glamour dust, and to the flowers with stickles. The roses and carnation are from WOC, the lilies are from the Ribbon Girl and the chrysanthemums are from Live and Love Crafts.

I've used paper from Maja Design, again, the edges have been distressed and then machine sewn. I've tucked a So Wrapped Heart Tag behind with shabby seam binding and pearl string. There is also some cheese cloth, white corrugated card, gorgeous Rose Venice Lace and White Rose Organza Trim. I've also wrapped some seam binding around a bark heart, these are perfect for love themed cards.

Magnolia Only at The Ribbon Girl

Hi everyone, today is the first Magnolia Only challenge at The Ribbon Girl, our theme is 'Use Ribbons Or Lace', easy peasy or what? The prize up for grabs is a Magnolia Stamp 'Love Is In The Air' and a £10 voucher for Ribbon Girl.

My little girl has had a few days of school recently, so I had plenty of time to sit and colour some images in and I had a play with no lines, I got a few of these done so you will see a few in my next few cards, lol. I've coloured Tilda With Daisy with Distress Markers and used stickles for sparkle.

The roses are from WOC, the lilies and carnations are from the Ribbon Girl. The paper is from Shall We Have Coffee collection from Maya Design. I've also added a few iridescent hearts. There is some white teeny tiny pom pom trim, 13mm white droplet Venise Lace, white top stitch thread and white silky crush ribbon.

Pop over to the Ribbon Girls and check out the am-az-ing inspiration from the girls.

I'm entering this into 'Anything Goes' at BunnyZoes, 'Bingo' at Dutch Magnolia Lovers' (I've used Lace/Ribbon, Distress and Bow) and also into 'Coming Up Roses' at Wild Orchid Challenges.

Sneezing Tilda

Morning everyone, hope you are all OK? Living practically in the sea I am managing to escape nearly all of the snow, but once I go round one corner there is some snow and it keeps getting deeper the further away you go, but it is still cold and with the biting North Wind howling down the street, brrr, so as it's cold and 'flu season I thought Sneezing Tilda would be perfect for my anything but a square project at Live and Love Crafts.

I've used a Go Kreate die for my card, the papers are from Maja Designs Vintage Summer Collection, the edges have been distressed with Walnut Stain ink.

I forgot how much I like green, lol. I've coloured Tilda in with distress markers and added sparkle with stickles. The roses are from WOC, I've also added Kort og Godt white rolled roses and white chrysanthemums and a White Magnolia Shabby Chic Tulle Rose, there are also some Melissa Frances Pearls. Sandy has got some lovely new trims and lace in, she has also shown us what she is going to stock, they are gorgeous, I've used some of the new White Cluny Lace With Threaded Ribbon and some of my favourite White Organza Roses Trim.

Click on the following pictures and it will take you to the items in the store, I have a little tutorial HERE on how to add this to your post.

I'm entering this into the Bingo challenge at Dutch Magnolia Lovers, I've used the diagonal line of Lace/Ribbon, Die and Flowers.

Eyes Down With The Inky Chicks

Wow, what a response we had to our first challenge at Inky Chicks, we have been absolutely overwhelmed with your response, thank you all so much, now our hard work begins, picking the top 3, lol.

This week we are going with the ever popular 'Bingo', I've made the grid and I've tried to be kind :)

All you have to do is choose a line and add all of those components to your card, it doesn't matter if you have more, the more the merrier.

I went for the diagonal line of 'Ribbon, Image and Pearls', but looking again I think I'm only lace and sentiment away from a full house, lol.

The image is from Stamping Bella, and is called Isabelle Loves Ice Cream, I don't like this cold horrible weather so I'm already looking forward to summer and think this looks so summery. I've coloured her in with distress markers, and sparkle has been added with glamour dust and stickles. Please see the end of the post for links to all of the products I've used.

The paper is from the Vintage Summer collection from Maja Design, I've distressed the edges and then machine sewn them with topstitch thread. I love that scrunched taffeta, it makes the most gorgeous bows.

We hope you can play along with us this challenge.

Hugs,

Becky x

How I Use Inlinkz To Add Product List

Hi, I've been asked a few times how to use Inlinkz, this is how I do it. I'm not saying this is the only way to do it, but it's the way I do it (at the minute, I've only been using it a few days, and I've had help too, thanks Sandy).

First you need to register at Inlinkz, the way I understand it, if you're going to use it less than 10 times a month then it's free (at the time of writing).

First off, click on 'The Link Manager', you'll then go to the next screen.

Click on 'Add New Collection'

The settings I like are 'Five' in the columns drop down box, with '100px' in the Thumb Size drop down box, but you can change these to what you find to be the best.
To start off with there won't be any products at the right hand side, to add the products that you want to use click on 'Add New Link'.

This box then pops up, go to the product that you want, in a new page.

Highlight the URL of the product, copy it and then paste it

here. I then give all four of the boxes the same name, describing the product. You then need to choose an image, click on the select image and click 'go', this should give you a list of all of the pictures from the page, choose the one you want. If this doesn't work, go back to the product page and right click on the image, select the 'Copy Image URL' and then paste it into the 'Image URL' page.

Then drag the image from the right to the left, give the collection a name that makes sense to you.

Add all of the products that you want to use, then click on 'Create', click 'OK' and the following screen opens.

Make sure you are on the collection you want, and click on the highlighted button.

This page then opens, highlight and copy the top HTML text. If you choose this one any changes to the products will get updated automatically.

When you've finished writing your post (you can do it before, but on the screen where you write your post it won't be visible so you may interfere with it), click on the HTML button and at the end paste your code. When you go back into the Compose screen it won't be visible, but when your post goes live it should be there.

I was on nights last night and I tend to ramble a tad, so I hope it makes sense. If you have any questions please ask, and if I can answer it I'll be more than happy to.

Hugs,

Pink and Ivory With The Ribbon Girls

Hi everyone, hope you're having a nice weekend. Today I am here with a colour challenge for The Ribbon Girls. There's a slight change over there, challenges are only a week long now, and starting next Sunday we will also have a Magnolia challenge too. This week the colour theme is Pink and Ivory.

With a pink and ivory theme it was the perfect opportunity to make a card for my friends baby, Lilja, she was born before Christmas and is absolutely gorgeous, almost making me feel broody, lol. I'm entering this into the 'New Beginnings' challenge at Marvelous Magnolia.

I've coloured Tingla in with my distress markers and added stickles for sparkle.

Woo Hoo!!

Hi everyone, no card from me today, but I have some amazing news to share with you. When I was away over Christmas, when I had signal, I noticed there was a DT call at Little Darlings Rubber Stamps, so when I came home I sent Angie an e-mail, and she has asked me to join her very talented team of ladies and gents, woo hoo!!!

I'm so excited, if a little daunted, there is some amazing talent on that team.

I'm so happy with my crafting work just now, I am part of some amazing DT's and have met and am still meeting lovely people, I'm going to do a little candy soon, so keep your eyes peeled, it's my way of saying thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way, and it's almost 2 years since I blogged my first card. I actually had my blog a while before I took the plunge and shared my work with cyberland.

Hope you all have a great weekend,

Hugs,

Embossing With Lili's Little Fairies

Hi everyone, today I'm here with my DT card for Lili's Little Fairies, this week we want to see your cards with embossing on, either heat or dry.

I've used clear heat embossing on the plant pot and the spots on her hat. The papers are from Maja Designs Vintage Summer collection, the edges have been distressed and then machine sewn.

I'm glad I've got the hang of this Inlinkz thingybob, it makes writing blog posts a doddle.

In The Pink At Midweek Magnolias

Hi everyone, I'm here with my card for our new challenge at Midweek Magnolias, this week our theme is In The Pink With Ribbons & Pearls.

The roses are from WOC, the rolled roses and chrysanthemums are from Kort and Godt. Please see the end of the post for all of the links to what I have used.

I've used papers from Maja Designs Summer memories, the edges have been distressed and then machine sewn. I've coloured Tilda Blowing Hearts with my distress markers and added sparkle with glamour dust and stickles.

Hope you're all having a great Humpday, I was supposed to be working a rare daytime shift, but Grace has a patch of Impetigo and isn't allowed in whilst it's infectious, so we're having a colouring day and at the moment we're watching Miss Potter.

I'm entering this into 'Tilda In Trousers' at Totally Tilda, 'Flowers' at MDUC, 'Make It Girlie' at Divas By Design, 'One For The Girls' at Creative Inspirations and 'Luscious Lace' at In The Pink Challenges.
