Merry Christmas Everyone

Good morning everyone, I'm popping in today with a few things, firstly I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2014! And, I have recently hit 1000 followers, thank you! I really do appreciate everyone's support and encouragement. I am currently getting some candy together to celebrate reaching 1000 followers, so keep checking......

I'm sorry my blog has been quiet lately, but I have been very busy behind the scenes.

Over the Christmas period the Ribbon Girl are having a special challenge, it's for children 16 or under to enter, as soon as I told Grace she said she wanted to enter and make something other than a card. Yesterday morning we had some crafty time in our new craft room, and Grace made this;

She has used Tree Topper from Saturated Canary, I always have to print or stamp her the same images as me, I love sat colouring with her. We picked the bag up at the Lili Of The Valley shop when we visited recently, the rest of her embellies were a gift to her of Mary and Andrea. She loved making this, and seeing it with her watermark on has really made her smile.

Hope you all have a wonderful time,

Big hugs,

Grace and Becky xx

Recycle (and Anything Goes) At Totally Tilda

Hi everyone, today is the last challenge of the year at Totally Tilda, and our theme is Recycle, but, to make it a little easier over the holidays, you can also add your anything goes makes too, but the DT are having a little break from commenting.

I have used a toilet roll to make a small pot for my crafty tools to sit on my desk.

I have coloured Handy Tilda in with distress markers, and added a touch of star dust stickles to her head band. The paper is from Maja Designs Vintage Autumn Basics collection, the pearl trim is from WOC and the pom pom trim and the hessian ribbon are both from the Ribbon Girl.

Hugs,

Ribbon Dance Tilda

Morning everyone, I'm here with a card I made for Live and Love Crafts.

I have coloured Ribbon Dance Tilda with distress reinkers, in the feint line technique, so much fun, and then added some glamour dust for sparkle.

The paper is both sides of Exuberance Of Flowers In Bloom, from the limited edition Sofiero collection from Maja Design, I fancied a change from Christmas cards. The edges have been distressed with a Tim Holtz tool.

Click on the links at the end of the post and it will take you to the products in the shop.

I'm entering this into the Anything Goes at Diva's By Design and also the Anything Goes challenge at MDUC.

Hugs,

Becky xx

Backpacks Of Hope With Limited Edition Digi's

Hi, I'm here today with a card for a special cause. The talented and generous Krista is supporting the Backpacks of hope. This fundraiser doesn't buy actual backpacks, but what is needed in certain parts of the world to enable children to get an education, click HERE to go to the page. A donation of at least $3 will get you your limited edition digi's that will never be on sale in the shop.

This is one of the digi's that you will receive for donating, I have used my distress reinkers to colour them in, with glamour dust and aged ivory frantage.

The papers are from Maja Design's Shall We Have Coffee collection, the edges have been distressed with a Tim Holtz tool, and then machine sewn with topstitch thread.

The rose organza trim, lace and most of the flowers are from The Ribbon Girl.

Hugs,

Christmas At The Ribbon Girl

Good morning everyone, I hope everyone that has been affected be the floods here in the UK are OK. I live about 50 meters away from the sea, so we're OK, but the road leading here is quite low lying, and we were practically an island again, one of the piers was almost submerged and the bottom layer to our prom was covered in sea. I'll pop a few pics at the end, but as high tide was at 5pm it was rather dark.

Onto my card, last Sunday our long Christmas challenge started at The Ribbon Girls, all of us have played along, pop over and have a look at all of the gorgeous makes.

I have coloured Winter Skates Tilda in with distress reinkers, I have used my new Martha Stewart Ice Flake punch that I picked up at Lili Of The Valley last Saturday, it was such a fun day, I can't wait for the next open day.

The papers are from the new Vintage Frost Basics from Maja Design and the card has been cut using a Tim Holtz on the edge die and then distressed with Walnut Stain.

And now a few pics of our flood,

There's a paddling pool there between the railings, and a beach to the left, but you can see how high we are by the wall on the right. We have a split level promenade, and this is the level of the lower prom.

And, there is a pier, honestly, there is a pier there, when the tide goes out the full pier is almost all out of the water. I'm grateful the wind wasn't blowing the right way or there would have been a lot of damage.

I pinched this pic of facebook, that is ground level as you come onto where I live, so the road near here was flooded, apparently it was over car windows, it was reported as being 5 feet deep, I would have got stuck in the queues of people coming home if I hadn't have been off work with my daughter having the winter vomiting bug, which she kindle passed onto me.

Have a lovely weekend,
Hugs,

Becky xx

Sparkle at Christmas AT A Creative Romance

Morning everyone, hope you are all well and the weather is treating you kindly, I live on the North East coast of England and we've had a bit of flooding due to an extremely high tide, been a bit scary I can tell you.

I'm here today with our last challenge of the year at A Creative Romance, it's a month long to give you plenty of time to play and get everything else done/

I have made a card with the super cute Bluebell with Saddle from Wild Rose Studio.

I have used distress markers to colour them in, and added loads of sparkle with stardust stickles. The papers are from the 6x6 paper pad Tradition by Authentique.

I have made a bow using some Ivory Organza, this holds fabulous bows as there is wire in it. There is also a clear diamond heart pin, a snowflake charm, a Kaisercraft Pearl Flourish and a Kaisercraft coconut bloom.

Thanks for looking, and enjoy your weekend,

Hugs,

Becky xx

Non Christmas Colours at Saturated Canary

Hi everyone, there is a new challenge at Saturated Canary, the theme this time is Non Traditional Christmas colours, and from a girl that isn't into Christmas red's and green's this was right up my alley.

I have coloured Tree Topper with distress markers, and added star dust stickles for sparkle, there is also shabby white frantage and snow tex too.

The papers are from Maja Designs Vintage Frost Basics, these are perfect for this challenge, they're all non traditional colours. The edges have been distressed with Walnut Stain, and I have also used gesso and snowtex. There is also the border off one of the sheets, the lace is Water Lily, along the bottom there is some pale ivory rose organza and across the top white teeny tiny pom pom trim, behind the image there is some cheese cloth.

Hugs,

Becky xx
