Midweek Magnolia's Week 14

Hi everyone, these bank holidays are totally foxing me, I was sat yesterday morning recovering from a hangover when I realised it was Tuesday and I had nothing made yet for the Anything Goes challenge at Midweek Magnolias. So after a chip butty and a nap I managed to occupy the kids with a DVD and pop into the attic and pull this card together, luckily I always have images coloured.

I've coloured Summer Flower Tilda with Distress Markers, and added loads of glamour dust. I've used a doohickey border die twice so I'm entering this card in the Seeing Double challenge at MDUC . It's also going in the bingo challenge at My Mums Craft Shop Challenges where I've followed the top line of Flowers, Pearls and Die Cuts. It's also going into the Things With Wings challenge over at Whimsey Stamps Challenge Blog. The paper is from Magnolia and I've distrssed the edges with Walnut Stain.

The inside has been decorated to match the front. The flowers and pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.

Pop over to Midweek Magnolias and  have a look at the gorgeous inspiration over there for you.

Totally Tilda Blog Hop Winner

Hi everyone, a little later than I'd planned, but here is my post about the Totally Tilda blog hop.

I've had such a busy weekend I never got round to scheduling this post, I was working yesterday 9-3 and planned to do it when I got home, but the weather picked up a bit and we ended up having a BBQ round my mam and dad's house. We had planned to on Saturday but the weather was pants, it was round there to make the house look lived in and it's an ideal location for the kids to play as there's a large area of grass just out the back and no roads. But, also no Internet. Well, we stayed there until it was time to light the Beacon on the moor at 10.15pm, needless to say I'm a little delicate this morning, but I need to do this post-what dedication, lol!

All of us Tildarettes had candy on offer, I'm keeping mine a secret, but the winner of my candy is

Congratulations hun, if you send me an e-mail to beckyheth@gmail(dot)com with your snail mail address I'll get your secret prize in the post to you.

Make sure you check out the Totally Tilda blog as there's a list of all of the winners, including the three from our sponsors. We hope you all had fun hopping round all of our creations, it was hard work, but we enjoyed it.
I'm now off to lie down in a dark room until I can get this hangover to shift.

GDT Simply Summer

Hi everyone, this is a scheduled post as even though it's a bank holiday I'm working 9am-3pm :( so hopefully it works. I want to thank everyone that voted for me for the peoples choice at the Fashionista Challenge, I came third out of five. As I was picked in the top 5 I was asked to be GDT this month, how can you say no to the honour of being a GDT? The theme this month is Simply Summer, and here's my card. This is the second week out of the three for you to enter your card.

I've coloured Tilda in Key Largo with Distress Markers. This is a slightly unusual colour for me, but it's such a lovely summery colour, and the sun was actually shining when I coloured her in. Living right on the coast I spent many a summer mooching in rock pools and on the beach so this Tilda personifies summer for me.

I've used mini magnolia papers, and decorated this inside to match the front. The pearls, flowers and ribbon are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. The cheesecloth I got off eBay.

I've put glossy accents on the shell just to make it a bit 3D, I think you can just about see from this picture.

I'm off the rest of the week as it's half term, William is going to football school for 3 days so there'll be plenty of time for Grace and I to spend colouring and messing around in the attic.

I hope you've all had a fantastic weekend, and are enjoying our extra long weekend.

I've decorated the inside to complement the front. I've used a stempelglede stamp and used my distress markers to colour it before I stamped. The roses and leaves are my new Marianne die, and I've used loads of stickles.

Challenge #48 Clouds

Hi everyone, did you enjoy the bloghop?? The girls made some amazing creations, and we had some fantastic entries. Come back and visit Totally Tilda on Tuesday and see if you're one of the lucky ones who has won some candy.

This challenge we want to see your cards with clouds on them. Any sort of clouds are OK, as long as we have Tilda on there. This challenge we're sponsored be Crimson Cloud.

I've coloured Ladybird Tilda in with distress markers, and used chalks to make the background clouds. I then managed to cut most of them off, lol. The papers are the gorgeous Maja design, again, I've distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz tool, and them machine stitched them using top stitch thread from the Ribbon Girl.

The inside has been decorated to coordinate with the front. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the cloud die and the border die (if you can see it) are both Magnolia Doohickeys.

Pop across to Totally Tilda where the girls have provided some great inspiration for you.

Challenge #3 At Tilda's Town

Hi everyone. Wow, there have been some amazing entries these past two weeks at Tilda's Town, you're certainly making it hard for us girls to choose the top ones.

Today we have a new challenge for you, we want to see your Tilda or Edwin with an accessory stamp.

I decided to go for a bit of masking, I've masked Bon Voyage Tilda onto a log. I've coloured it in with Distress Markers. The lace is from The Ribbon Girl and the paper is from Maja Design, I love this DP. I've not distressed the edges at all, or stitched them I thought matting them onto a contrasting colour of Bazzill was striking enough.

The inside coordinates with the front. The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Craft. The swirl die is a doohickey die. The corners are a Whiff of Joy punch.

Pop over to Tilda's Town where there are some amazing cards from the DT for your inspiration, and join in our challenge. Remember there is a $15 voucher for Tilda's Town online store, and there is no P&P for your order no matter how big or small, or where you are.

Hugs,
