Obsession

At last, I've had the biggest headache with this blooming blogger not letting me upload pictures, and after installing Google Chrome before I went out to work I've rushed home and it's now letting me, yay!!!

I've been working these stupid split shifts the past couple of days, I go in 9am-12.30 and then I'm back in 5pm-9pm. When I got home yesterday lunchtime there was my grey plastic packet from Magnolia, I ripped it open and decided that Tilda with a Gift For You would be the first image I coloured, as I was stamping it the postman knocked with the most amazing DT kit from Sandy at Live and Love Crafts. I was so excited, I coloured Tilda in with my Distress inks both the markers and the limited edition pad, and then I had to pick the kids up and take them to McDonald's, an overdue and 3 times postponed treat. All evening at work all I could think about was getting my card done, this is partly where the post title comes in. Anyway, less gassing, here's my card.

Part of my pack was these absolutely stunning papers from Riddersholm Chantilly Dawn collection, this is the first time I've seen these papers, and they are stunning. If you like Pion and Maja Design you will love these. I found it hard putting my card together as I didn't want to cover it up, it was hard enough cutting into it I couldn't bring myself to distress the edges too, lol. Anyway, back to the title, I woke up at stupid o'clock this morning and after an hour of deciding if there was anymore sleep in me I got up, had a quick cuppa and then went into the attic to make this card. It was actually photographed before anyone else in the house got up, when I showed hubby that's when the 'Obsessed'comes in. That is what he said to me, you're obsessed, if you're not colouring you're looking at cards, or buying more stuff, lol. I edited my pictures, and when I was trying to put my badge on my challenge success page as I came in the top 3 at Deep Ocean Challenges, again, (yay!!) blogger wouldn't upload my card. I googled problems, installed Google Chrome, and then ran out of time for my post. The time has dragged this morning waiting to see if I'd fixed the problem, and go me, lol.

The flowers are all from Kort and Godt, the Roses with Glass pearls are available here. I've also used an absolutely stunning beaded center from Maya Road, Vintage Scallop Lace Trim, a Dress Clip and Pearl String.

Isn't the clip devine? The lace is so soft and delicate too, there's still loads of goodies in my kit too.

I think I'm starting to like the curly hair Tilda's, I have to admit I much prefer colouring the straight hair ones, but these are definitely growing on me.

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone, once again it's humpday, how quickly are these weeks whizzing by? It's time for team A to host, and this week we want to see Happy Birthday cards.

Those of you who regularly follow me know that recently my baby girl Grace celebrated her fifth birthday, and this is the card I made for her. I had a spec to follow though, she wanted a princess with yellow hair, like her and it had to be in pink, purple or pinky purple! This is the result, and she loved it!

I've coloured Tilda Catching Stars with my trusty Distress Markers. The absolutely stunning glitter organza, the top stitch thread and the heart pearls are all from The Ribbon Girl. The 5 is also from Magnolia. The sentiment is from Lili Of The Valley.

We can't wait to see your creations.

Offshore Tilda at Live & Love Crafts

Hi everyone, the first challenge at Live and Love Crafts Inspirational Challenge Blog went live yesterday, I had so much on yesterday so I'm posting my card today. The theme is 'Nautical', and here's my card,

I've used the gorgeous Maja Design paper, I've distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz Distress Tool and then machine sewn the edges. Offshore Tilda has been coloured with my Distress Markers.

I've used a Doohickey Flag and and border die. The flowers are from WOC and Kort and Godt. I've also had the chance to use my new Anchor die.

What do you think of her top? I've actually tried to colour this to make it look white, it has taken me ages too, lol.

Red, White and Blue

Hi everyone, this is just a quick post as I'm having major problems with blogger, it won't let me upload any pics with my laptop, aargh! I'm posting this with my iPad, which isn't ideal, but at least I can get something on here, I'll tweak it later.
It's time for another GDT card for me for La La Land and the theme this week is 'Red, White and Blue'





I've coloured Princess Marci with distress reinkers and used loads, and I mean loads, of glamour dust-but it's not picked up too well on the picture.





Once again I've used Maja Design from Live and Love Crafts, the edges have been distressed with walnut stain.





I'm keeping it short and sweet as I am going to tweak it as soon as I can. I'm back later with another card-5 cards in two days, told you I'd been busy, lol.

Hello Cupcake

Hi everyone, again. This is my third and final post for today. This time I'm here with the card challenge at The Ribbon Girls Blog. This month we want to see Girlie cards, and I don't think they come much girie than the Girlie collection from LOTV. There's a £10 voucher for the Ribbon Girl and a stamp of your choice from Lili Of The Valley, there's just been a gorgeous release too.

I've coloured Hello Cupcake with my distress markers and lots of glamour dust. I've used a gorgeous large diamante buckle on some silk ribbon. I've kept the girlie bling theme going by adding a clear crystal small symmetrical flourish and a couple of 5mm self adhesive crystal embellishments.

The papers are from MME and I've used my Tim Holtz distress tool on the edges. I've distressed the edge of the image with Walnut Stain. All of the edges have been machine sewn using the great top stitch thread. For added girlie glitz I've put stickles on the flowers.

Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside

Hi everyone, me again, lol. I've still got another to come. This fortnight at Totally Tilda we're sponsored by Sir Stampalot and we want to see your cards with a sea/seaside theme. I can't believe that we're now into July and we've not been to the beach yet, it's just too blinking cold! It's such a shame as the beach, with a kiddies paddling pool, is literally at the end of the street.

I've coloured Tilda In The Sea with Distress Markers. I've also used my new Marianne seashell dies, I've cut and embossed them out of cordinations cardstock, and then gently sanded them. The flowers are from Wild Orchid and Kort and Godt. The heart pearl and scrummy 40mm old rose pleated crush organza are from The Ribbon Girl.

The paper is from MME, and I've distressed the edges with Walnut Stain.

CLP Sketch #49

It's a busy day for me today, this is the first of three posts, I hope you come back and see the rest. It's the first of the month so there is a brand new challenge at CLP Challenge and Chelsea has come up with an amazing sketch, again.

A great sketch isn't it? I've said before, I love following a great sketch as the card just materialises in front of your eyes, lol. I've coloured Waterlily Tilda in with my Distress Markers, I just wish I could get them to blend how I like on a smoother paper, but I still love them, lol. The paper is from Maja Design, again-I can't get enough of these beauties. I've distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz tool and then machine sewn them using The Ribbongirls top stitching thread.

The flowers are from WOC, the spikey one is from Kort and Godt, thanks Mary :) The lace along the bottom is from The Ribbon Girl.
