Sofia Wishes

1st of May, already, where is this year going?? I've decided I'm going back to work next Wednesday, I've only worked one shift this year, but I know I have to get back on with normality-whatever that will be now without my parents in my life. I've worked it out well mind, I'm working three weeks graduated as I was told by occupational health that I have to do this, I'll have three days of 'normal' work and then I'm off for half term, I'm going to be popular, lol.

Time for my first DT card at CLP Challenge, there is an amazing sketch to follow, Chelsea creates the most wonderful sketches.

I've coloured Sarah Kay's Sofia Wishes with Distress Inks, this is the first time I've coloured a Sarah Kay image in with inks, I love the hats and dresses on her girls. The papers are from Pion, I've sewn the edges using The Ribbon Girls top stitch thread after I'd distressed them with a Tim Holtz distress tool.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the scraps of ribbon are from my stash, I can never bring myself to throw out the little bits of ribbon, and this is the first time I've actually used them, I feel dead pleased with my little self, lol.

Pop over and see the absolutely amazing cards the rest of my teammates have come up with, they are amazing.

Here's Sketch #47, we can't wait to see everyone's interpretation of it.

Hugs,

  1. Hi Becky
beautiful card, so pretty (this is more my cup of tea) lol, you have coloured her in beautifully, love the D.P.s also love how you have used up your little bit of ribbon.
As for you returning to work, I think that it's good that you are going to be eased into it slowly & then being off at half term, & any one that has an issue with that may need to be reminded of your heartbreaking circumstances & what you have had to deal with since December.

You've had an awful time of things, I hope next week goes well, one step at a time and it will be ok.

  3. Becky this is a stunning card I locve your colouring I have yet to try colouring with DI's but may have to have a try after seeing yours
As for work take things easy and do it at your pace don't let them bully you into going back to quickly do what your OT tells and if you feel you need more time to integrate then so be it and good luck with it
