Anything But A Card At LLC

Hi everyone, time for a new challenge at Live and Love Crafts, and our theme this month is 'Anything But A Card'. When this theme was announced I came out in a bit of a cold sweat, I don't do anything other than cards. But, I got my thinking cap on. My friend was due to have a baby at the beginning of October, so I thought I'd make a card/CD holder to keep all of the photo CD's in. I even made the template myself.

I know it's still in theory a card, but it is also a CD holder, lol. I've used Krista's adorable Butterfly Baby and coloured him in with distress markers and added glamour dust sparkle.

The paper is As Long As I Live from Maja Design, the product that gave me the inspiration to make this is definitely the Fabscraps Latch Set.

As you can see I sort of adapted the theory behind book cards (although I've never made one of those either). I couldn't not use any flowers, but I kept them to a minimum, the rose buds are from WOC, and I've also used antique blue rolled roses and a white magnolia shabby chic tulle rose.

Pop over to LLC and check out the truly gorgeous creations the DT and GDT have come up with, we can't wait to see what you make.

Hugs,

Becky x

  14. Howdy,
Well I mighty impressed with this one, creating it from scratch and everything! Agree with Elin; would love a tutorial. Beautiful colouring of the adorable image (as always) and just the right amount of embellishments, the latch set gives the case the perfect touch!

    Hugz,
    Sandy
