Monochrome Christmas Tilda at Totally Tilda

Good morning, today I'm here with my card for the latest challenge at Totally Tilda, it went live last Sunday, but as my neck has been playing me up I'm here to give you a little reminder.

I have seen a few people colouring with this technique recently, and I have been itching to give it a go, and I love it!! I have used my Inktense pencils to colour the image in, with the background being done with my distress inks. There is also a sprinkling of chunky white embossing enamel for the snow.

The papers are from Maja Design, and the edges have been distressed with Walnut Stain ink.

From The Ribbon Girl I have used Louise lace, 5 mm self adhesive pearls, stardust stickles, tulips, lilies, WOC roses and white teeny tiny pom pom trim.

Thanks for looking, hope you can play along.

Hugs,

Becky xx

  6. Oh wooow! I love your image, it just pops and shines, looks magical! Did you just color it and finish with a white pen? Too bad my white pen turned out to be a bad one, hardly shows, totally need to get a proper one. Beautiful embellishments. :)

    Hugs, Anne.

    1. Thanks Anne,
I don't have a pen that I would trust with that, and my hand isn't that steady, lol. I stamped the image using embossing ink, and then used detail white embossing powder, and heat embossed. I love the effect, it really makes the image pop.

  8. This is gorgeous, Becky. I have yet to try this technique. Personally I think it looks best with DI or water color than Copic. Your image with the blue and gray hues work so well together. Fabulous card.
