Tilda With Hairy Legs

Hi everyone, I'm back with a card made with the gorgeous Shall We Have Coffee collection from Maja Design, available at Live and Love Crafts. I love all of the paper from Maja Design, but I think this must be my favourite, only just mind, lol, I love the purple and green.

I've coloured my free Tilda in with my distress markers, I know she has woolly tights on, but first glance... I was brave and gave her a green background, added glitter with some glamour dust. The paper is both sides of Soders Hojder (The Heights Of The South), the edges have been distressed with Walnut Stain Ink.

I've used some cheesecloth and along the middle there is some Frilled Cotton Lace with some Light Antique Mauve Antique Belle Lace over the top, fastened with my Tim Holtz Tiny Attatcher.

The roses are from WOC, and the purple berries are from Magnolia, I've also used a White Magnolia Shabby Chic Tulle RoseLilac Rolled Roses and White Chrysanthemums and a little bow made out of Plum Sorbet Seasonal Shabby Seam Binding, I love all of these purples, perfect for the purple phase I seem to be stuck in.

Live and Love Crafts currently have a Design Team call on HERE, it is open until 8pm GMT on 12th December, Sandy is so sweet to work with and the girls are lovely, they're such a lovely group to be part of and the products Sandy sells speak from their selves.

I'm entering this into the 'Pastel Colours' challenge at Deep Ocean Challenges.

White Christmas at Midweek Magnolias

Hi my lovelies, time for another challenge at Midweek Magnolias, this week our theme is 'I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas', you can interpret this as you wish, you can do white on white, or with snow on there, but remember you must have a Magnolia image on.

I chose to go for not much colour, and plenty of snow. I've coloured him in with distress inks, yes, I have actually coloured him in, took me ages too, I hate doing white, it takes me the longest to do. I've used glitter that I've had for ages for the hat, silver for the snowflake and black glitter (that I forgot I had) for his buttons and nose.

I've used papers from Pion's Silent Night collection, from the 6x6 range and from the 12x12 range too. The edges have been distressed and machine sewn using white top stitch thread. I've also rolled some of the same collection of papers up to make little scrolls, fastened two rusty 13mm jingle bells with ivory button twine.

The roses are from WOC, the dusty blue rolled roses, white chrysanths and the opal beads are all from the Ribbon Girl, as is the white pleated satin with silver lurex centre ribbon. There also a few self adhesive pearls.

I've followed the sketch over at Simply Magnolia, I'm entering this into the 'Blue Christmas' at Fashionista Challenge and also the 'Pastel Colour' challenge at Deep Ocean.

Baby Tingla Gift Bag

Hi everyone, I'm here at last. I have had a nightmare of a morning, William wanted to play minecraft on the PC. My PC is a bit on the old side and is so slow, so I thought I'd install Windows 8 on there, installed it and then tried to play minecraft, but the driver needs updating (??), so I messed around for about two hours, and still no joy. Not a happy bunny. I knew I had this to make, and considering this time yesterday I hadn't even started to colour my image in....
Over at Live and Love Crafts we're bringing baby projects this week, one of my best friends is due to have a baby girl in the next few weeks, so my project is for a baby girl. Now, don't be shocked (I am, lol), but I don't have a card today, instead I have a gift bag.

I found this quite hard, when I cut my huuuuge backing mat I sat looking at how much space there was to fill, and then I kept on going with my embellishments. I've used paper from Maja Designs Vintage Summer Basics, I've used 19231933 and a piece of 1924 for the tag.

I've coloured baby Tingla with distress markers. Along to bottom there is some Pink Organza Roses Trim, then I've placed some Heather Pink Rhinestone Lace on top of some Pink Pom Pom Trim. Across the middle there is some White Fleur's Des Jardins Lace and then some more Heather Pink Rhinestone Lace and the bag is fastened with a double bow using Ash Rose Shabby Seam Binding.

There is a Dummy Charm attached to some Jute Twine. The roses are from my stash, I've used a Petal Pink Hortensia, a White PoppyWhite Rolled Roses and a White Chrysanthemum. I've also used Melissa Frances White Pearls.

I'm off for a lay down now, lol.

I'm entering this into the In The Pink Challenge which is Punches and/or Dies, and of course pink, I've got them all.
Also into the 'Anything Goes' challenge at Tilda's Town.

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend, hugs,

Becky x

Not A Christmas Card

Hi my lovelies, I seem to have been making Christmas Cards for ages, so I decided to do something a little different today. Those of you who follow me often will know that today I should have been posting my card for Tilda's Town, but it is with a heavy heart I decided to step down when there was a recent DT call, I will miss all of the girls there, they are so friendly and lovely, and I will see them all around. One of the main reasons I stepped down was the new challenge that I am proud to be part of, Inky Chicks, we start in January, and we have some opening candy, pop over and take a look.

Anywho, back to my card.

I was browsing this morning and I saw this colour theme of brown, green and cream at You, Me and Magnolia and I had to give it a go, and I'm also entering this into 'anything goes' at Tilda's Town, hi girls.

I've coloured Tilda in with my distress markers. The papers are from the Shall We Have Coffee collection by Maja Design, and they're from Live and Love Crafts. The roses are from WOC, I've also used cream chrysanthsivory rolled roses and rose leaves all from The Ribbon Girl.

I've just received a gorgeous parcel of goodies from the Ribbon Girl today and I had to use the new vintage ivory fluted sheer ribbon and also the ivory pearl rose organza

That's it from me for today, I hope you're all well, I was on nights last night and working 9am-9pm tomorrow, they are such long, horrible days.

Hugs,

Traditional Christmas Colours at Marvelous Magnolia's

Hi my lovelies, time for my second post at Marvelous Magnolia and this week our theme is 'Traditional Christmas Colours'.

I've coloured Tilda and the trees in with my distress markers, I've also used one of my new doohickeys and used liquid applique for the snow, I love the way it puffs up with a heat tool. The papers are Merry by maja design, and I've used a Go Kreate die.

There's brown jute ribbon behind the image and pom pom trim from my stash. The roses are from WOC, and the holly leaves are a Tim Holtz die. The gold berries are from magnolia, and there's a bell and a bow made from autumn leaves seasonal shabby seam binding.

Have a look at the other gorgeous creations the girls have made, the inspiration is amazing.

I'm entering this into 'For The Love Of Tilda' at Stamptacular Sunday
'Traditional Christmas' at Wild Orchid Challenges
'Traditional Christmas' at Stamping Sensations

Santa Lucia Tilda

Hi my lovelies, I'm with you today with my card for our Dies or Punches challenge at Lovely Hanglar Or Sweet Magnolia, but first I'm going to be a bit more somber.

Today, as I'm sure you know is Remembrance Day. I live right next door to a war memorial, it's actually quite historic, the plaque for the lives lost was placed in the whole the wall received during the bombardment of Hartlepool in 1914, which is just along from where the first soldier was killed on British soil during WW1. My mam's dad actually fought in the trenches in WW1 and two of her brothers fought in WW2, they were all lucky enough to come home. My dad's dad however, wasn't as lucky, he went down with his ship the HMS Culver on 31st January 1942, my dad thought he had a single memory of sitting on his knee, my auntie that was born in October 1941 was never even held by him. There are conflicting reports that I've found, either 125 or 135 souls were lost, with either 12 or 13 survivors, my granddad was a stoker so he won't have had a chance, so once again I have worn my poppy with pride.

Onto my card,

I've coloured Santa Lucia Tilda in with distress inks, and added red liquid pearls for the Logan berries (I've just thought, I'm only assuming they're red), I must apologise for my picture, it seems rather blurry. Click HERE for the story of Santa Lucia, it's a Swedish tradition, so I am entering my card into the 'Around The World' challenge at Deep Ocean Challenges,

The papers are from Magnolia and I've used oval nesties to cut ovals and the scalloped ovals. The border die is a doohickey die and I've also used my new doohickey die too for the leaves behind my flowers. The ribbon is from HERE, and the chrysanths are from HERE.

The roses and pearl trim are from WOC, I've also used glamour dust and stickles. I'm also entering this into the first challenge at You, Me and Magnolia where the theme is 'Anything Goes'. Those gorgeous red berries are from Magnolia and I think they look lovely.

Pop over to LHOSM blog for some amazing inspiration from the DT.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend,

Hugs,

Becky xx
