Love & Lace at Deep Ocean

Ooo, I'm so excited to let you all know the newest DT I am on, but you've probably guessed from the post title, yep that's right, I'm now part of the amazing Deep Ocean Challenges Design Team, our theme this fortnight is 'Love and Lace'.

I told you the other day that you would be seeing a few 'No Lines' from me, lol. But, for this one I had a bit of a brainwave, when I add the eyes, eyebrows and freckles in I don't always get them just right and I am not overly happy, so just as I was going to sleep, you know just when your brain gives you things to think about, I came up with this plan, and it works a treat. I inked my stamp up with cloudy blue, and then got a cotton bud and inked it up with black stazon ans then inked the eyes, eyebrows and freckles, it works a treat.

I've coloured Lonely Tilda With Her Heart with distress markers and pads, I've tried out a slightly different hair colour and I like what I see. I've added sparkle to the heart with glamour dust, and to the flowers with stickles. The roses and carnation are from WOC, the lilies are from the Ribbon Girl and the chrysanthemums are from Live and Love Crafts.

I've used paper from Maja Design, again, the edges have been distressed and then machine sewn. I've tucked a So Wrapped Heart Tag behind with shabby seam binding and pearl string. There is also some cheese cloth, white corrugated card, gorgeous Rose Venice Lace and White Rose Organza Trim. I've also wrapped some seam binding around a bark heart, these are perfect for love themed cards.

Hugs,

Becky x

  15. Hi Becky, I so love your outline colouring. I tried several times but haven't succeed so far. I guess I am using the wrong ink pad. May I ask you what ink in what colour you are using for stamping your image?
