Vintage Wedding Couple and Cracked Glass Technique

I just got this image the other day, and I was going to make a Wedding card, I have been asked to make quite a few for later in the year, I coloured it up at work on Monday night and as I was on my way home one of my colleagues asked me to make a Golden Wedding card for her Mam and Dad and I thought 50 years of marriage was more romantic than a Wedding Card for our Inspirational theme this week at LLC.

She wanted a card bigger than my usual 6x6, so this has been cut with my largest Go Kreate die, I've used Maja Design Vintage Summer Basics 12x12 papers, and used walnut stain around the edges.

I've used a Tim Holtz Typeset die for the lettering and then added a sprinkle of Gold Glamour dust.

The roses are from my stash, there are links so the other flowers at the end. I've used Shabby White Frantage on the pearls.

I was brave and decided to try the Cracked Glass technique to a coloured image, I've only done it once before and that was on a printed image. This is my way of how to do it. I added liquid pearls and glamour dust, and let it dry thoroughly. When it was dry I used the versamark ink and covered the whole image and then used UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel) and then melted with a heat gun, and repeated this until I had a complete covering, 3 times for most of the image, but in places it took me about 5 times. I then let it harden for a while (I think you can put it in the freezer, but I craft in the attic and after doing some exercises the other day that had loads of squats in the stairs aren't my friend at the mo). When it was nice and hard I folded it over my fingers to get the cracks, when I was happy with the cracks I added Walnut Stain ink to them and rubbed it in with the ink tool, and I think it suits this image and card perfectly.

Deep Ocean Welcomes Summer :)

Hi everyone, time for our new challenge at Deep Ocean, this fortnight our theme is 'Welcome Summer'.

This is one of my favourite Tilda's, and to me she is perfect to personify summer, out in the garden picking roses.

The papers are from Maja Designs Vintage Summer Basics. The edges have been distressed with a Tim Holtz tool, and then machine sewn with topstitch thread.

The flowers are from The Ribbon Girl, click on the images at the end to be taken to them in the shop.

I've also dabbed a bit of textured acrylic paint here and there, along with stickles. There is also glamour dust for sparkle and aged rose frantage too.

As always Tilda has been coloured with Distress Markers and reinkers.

Hugs,

Becky xx

CLP Sketch #59

Hi everyone, I'm here today with my card for the midway reminder at CLP Challenge.

Here's Chelsea's gorgeous sketch, I've flipped it though.

I've coloured Forget Me Not Tilda in with distress markers, and added glamour dust for sparkle. There is also shabby white frantage too.

The papers are from Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics, I love this collection, so many pretty designs. The edges have been distressed with a Tim Holtz tool, and then machine sewn using topstitch thread.

There are links to most products at the end, I thought the lace was from the Ribbon Girl, but I can't seem to find it in the shop.

My arty shot.

I'm also entering this card into the DT Call over at Totally Tilda, I've been a Tildarette before, and I'd love to be one again. The theme is 'Your Interpretation Of Summer'.

Hugs,

Becky xx

Favourite Colours At Midweek Magnolias

Hi everyone, I'm here today with my card for the Favourite Colour challenge at Midweek Magnolias. I have a few favourite colours, and this shade of blue is my favourite shade of blue.

The papers I've used are not Christmas papers, they are from Pion Designs Studio Of Memories 6x6, this is my most favourite shade of blue, and I think it works as Christmas paper.

I've coloured Tilda in with Distress markers, and added sparkle to her wings with Glamour Dust. The edges of the paper have been distressed with Walnut Stain and there are a few postmark stamps there too.

Around the image I've used shabby white Frantage, there is also Snow Tex and Crackle paint here and there too.

As always there are links to the products at the end of the post.

I'm entering this into 'Going Postal' at Totally Tilda and 'Let's See A Magnolia' at Fashionista.

Hugs,

Anything Goes At A Creative Romance

Yay, the day that we've been waiting for is here, it's time for our first challenge at A Creative Romance, and to get the show on the road our first theme is 'Anything Goes'.

I'm so proud of our DT, they are such a sweet and talented group of girls, please pop over and have a look at their creations, for our first challenge we also have 3 lovely GDT's joining us, AlyceDena and Alby.

We have had some opening candy, pop over to the blog to see if you were one of the lucky ladies, the prize up for grabs for this challenge is being kindly given by Mary and Andrea from The Ribbon Girls and it's a £10 voucher for their shop.

I've coloured Tilda Binding Flowers with Distress Markers and added sparkle with Glamour Dust. Around the image there is shabby white Frantage, I've found that if you sprinkle it on after you've 'pinched' some out of the pot you get more control over where it goes, and then heat from underneath and when it's melted give it a final blast on top and that gives me the look that I like.

There are links to the products I've used at the end of the post.

I'm in a bit of a rush today, the kids are back at school today, we got back from our hols on Wednesday and I kept them off with me yesterday, I wasn't ready to not be with them just yet, lol. So I'm writing this while they're getting ready, we'll be out of the door soon, and walking to school, my post holiday diet starts today too!!!

I've also Frantaged a Melissa Frances butterfly, added a spinner and a pearl.

I came home to my new Tilda's, so I just had to colour one of these up for the challenge, I've not coloured for over a week, I'd so missed it.

I also came home to my copy of Magnolia INK and I was so pleased and excited to be this issues 'Blogger Of The Month', it was such a buzz to see me, my name and card in there, so to celebrate I've decided to have a little candy, I'll get it posted in the next couple of days.

Hugs,

Becky xx
