Christmas In AUGUST!!!

Morning everyone, I am here today with the card that I have for our August challenge at TOMIC, the theme there is Christmas in August! It is never too early to start on your Christmas creations, even if it feels a little odd making them in summer.

This is one of the cards that I made for Magnolia's Hochanda show that was in July, using Gingerbread Tilda.

I have used my Inktense Pencils to colour her to match the papers from Maja Design, and used loads of Doohickey Dies to add to the card. I adore the stocking, it is sooo cute!!

Hope you are all having a nice summer!? I have just been to the 'Kendal Calling' msic festival with my daughter, and even with all of the rain and mud we both had a wonderful time, and we are going back next year!

I have treat myself to a new camera and laptop as an early birthday present, it is amazing how many extra things that you need to keep adding to the laptop just to do everything, but I am getting there!

Thank you for popping by,

Hugs,

Becky xx

I Was On Hochanda, Eeek!!

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are all well. Sorry I am late to bring you my inspiration, but this month has caught me by surprise, I have just woken up from my nightshift and realised the date!

Who saw Magnolia on Hochanda? Who saw that it was me on Hochanda? If you want to take a peek at the show click HERE and you can see all of the gorgeous inspiration, and I got to see it all first hand, and believe me when I tell you that they all look so much better in the flesh, I am on this team with some very talented ladies!

Here is one of the cards that I made for the show, I demonstate how to do the out of the box die technique on the show too, please leave a comment if there is something that you would like to see me demo in future shows!!

I have used Sunbeam Tilda and the Hedgehog Kit along with some of the dies that were available from Hochanda.

Thank you for stopping by,

TOMIC Inspiration

Good morning everyone, today it is my turn to provide inspiration at the TOMIC blog.

I have made an easel card, and used Clown Tilda coloured with distress reinkers.

The papers are both from Magnolia, and even though they are from different collections they go together beautifully, unfortunately I can't see them in the shop.

The rolled rose is from my stash, but the other flowers are all out of my Magnolia drawer, but I can only see the leaves in the shop, I do like adding a bit of foliage..

Thank you for stopping by,

Polaroid Tilda's...

Morning everyone, Becky here with you today. I have a card for you that I have been wanting to make for a while, when my daughter saw it she asked if she can have it for her birthday, lol.

I have used mini Summer Flower Tilda and Love Love Love Tilda, and a third from my stash and cut them slightly larger than the aperture on the Gummiapan Polaroid Frame die and secured them behind with double sided tape.

The papers are from Maja Designs latest collection. There are links to everything at the end of the post. This is the rereleased, special edition Bride Bow.

The Polaroid Frames are suoer cute, and work wonderfully with mini Tilda's.

I love this Insta Love Cam die, I have used a hot glue gun to give a slight 3D effect with the lens.

My arty shot.

From the store I have used:

Good morning everyone, hope that you have ahd a lovely weekend. Here in the UK it is half term, already!! It only seems two minutes ago since they went back to school!!

One of my friends at work is 40 at the end of the month, and here is the card that I have made for her using Tilda with a Big Poppy. There is a list of products at the end of the post to go straight to the item in the shop.

I have also used the recently released, limited edition doohickey cake die, again a link is at the end of the post.

Tilda has been coloured in with my distress reinkers to match the new papers from Maja Design, just when I think that I have my favourite design they come out with another stunning collection!!

Here is a close up of the cake, I have used a hot glue gun to assemble the cake, and kept it so that the icing looks a bit 3D. I have used several of the sheets from the monochromes.

The 40 has been cut out of some of the monochrome Maja Design paper, that matches the celebration collection perfectly, with a Roxstamps Arabic Numbers.

Magnolia Wedding Card

Good morning everyone, Becky here with you on this cold Monday morning. I hope that those of you in the UK don't have too much disruption from the snow. You might remember that two weeks ago that I said I was on Jury Duty, and I have managed to land myself on a case that is expected to run 8-10 weeks, so no nights, lates or weekends for me for a while, yay!!!

For today's card I have used some of the new goodies from the You're Invited collection from Magnolia, and some older Maja Design papers, which are currently on sale :)

I have used my Distress Reinkers to colour this lovely couple in, white takes a lot of effort to look not that much different. If I'm honest I never thought that I woulld use this typewriter, until I used it-I love it, and I know that I will use it a lot more!!

Here it is in close up, it is so intricate, I have forced the keys out so that they stand slightly proud.

Some of these flowers are from my stash, the ones that I have used from the shop are at the end of the post.

Here is an arty shot of the card, you can sort of see the keys on the typewriter. The sheet in the typewriter is part of the die.

Thank you for popping by,

Hugs,

Becky xx

Halloween Kit

SPOILER ALERT, THIS POST HAS PICTURES IN FROM THE GOODIES IN THE HALLOWEEN KIT, IF YOU'RE NOT OPENING YOUR KIT STRAIGHT AWAY COMEBACK LATER....

Today we are joining with Shawn from Magnolia-licious as already Shawn has been the owner here for over a year!!

Today Tamara, Liz and I from Swedish House Crafts are showing our designs using items from the Halloween Kit, available from HERE

Make sure you pop around our blogs and leave a comment as on SHC's first birthday, on 5th November, someone will win some Gummiapan goodies.

I have coloured Toothache Tilda with my distress reinkers, and used the tooth tag die and tablet bottle dies too from the kit. The shape of the card has been cut using a die from an earlier Doohickey club kit.

I have used a 'Get well soon' die from Gummiapan, available HERE, these dies cut like a dream, I have also used a Gummiapan die to cut Tilda out, it is one of the Nesting Stitched Ovals.

And here it is in close up.

Unusually for me I only have two flowers on here, a white curled flower and a vintage white flower.

And here is the tooth die.

Thank you for popping by, and remember to check out the blog you will see the goodies up for grabs.

When did it become September???

Morning every one, Becky here with you today with a card I have made using Splits Tilda. Seriously, when did September happen?? It is now on the countdown to Christmas...!!!

I have used my distress reinkers to colour her to match the papers from Maja Designs Denim and Friends collection, I have used Jeans and Shirt  and Summer Shirt.

The dies that I have used are from an earlier Dookickey magazine, there are two more magazines due out this year, FALL IN LOVE and also CHRISTMAS & WINTER, and I have used Monochrome Dark Blue.

The blue flower is from my stash, and I have also added a curled rose, white stamens, a few rose buds and some white daisies.

Tucked behind the flowers I have wound some white paper thread.

And, here is a close up of Tilda...

My Birthday Girl

Morning everyone, I'm here with you today with the card I made for my little girls birthday last week. When she saw the unicorn from the latest Magnolia release she asked for it for her birthday card, so I had to oblige her, and mask it along with Unicorn Tilda and add the Aladdin Pattern to the background too.

I have used one of the Gummiapan Stitched Square Dies too, and left it on while I distressed the edge to create a bit of border. I have coloured the image in with my distress reinkers to match the Sofiero Papers from Maja Design.

I used scraps of Sofiero to make the daffodils using both the small daffodil die and the large one too, and added grey stamens to the centre, and built my flowers up on top of an allium Gummiapan die.

From this angle you can see how I have given the image a bit of height when I have been building up the layers.

A close up so you can see hoe I have masked the two stamps together.

Thank you for stopping by,
