Hi everyone, I'm sorry for the lateness of posting my candy winners. But, just before that, I would like to thank everyone that has entered my candy and left me such wonderful comments, they really do mean a lot. I read every comment that is left on my blog and do appreciate the time you all take to look at my creations.
Congratulations girls, please can you drop me an e-mail at beckyheth @ gmail.com (no spaces) and I will get your vouchers sorted. Please can you pop which voucher you have won in the email, thank you.
Now, grab yourself a cuppa and I will now tell you about my CHA experience.
I still can't really believe that I travelled to Las Vegas, by myself!! I only got lost once, and that was at Heathrow terminal 5, that place is huge!!
When I got to the hotel Angie and Mindy were there waiting for me, and it was like meeting up with old friends. Even though I was tired, and a bit minging from travelling I needed a drink before I went to bed, and apart from them struggling with my North East accent we had a lovely time.
The CHA schedule had changed slightly, so instead of setting up on the Sunday we went shopping :) We met up with the gorgeous Fabi, and went and had a quick look at the booth. Angie has the LDRS booth set up so that it really does glow
There had been a few problems during transport so we needed to find a home depot, and then we had to also find a pharmacy, BUT we were also taken to a scrapbooking store and also to a Michaels. I was so in my element. I need to get everyone elses photos as I didn't get everything, but between us all we did.
There were 4 of us in the car, and I don't think one of us had a sense of direction!! I know I dreamt about some of those street signs, it's a good job u-turns are legal in Nevada.
Janiel turned up before we went for our meal, and Alby got there while we were eating it. Then we were 6. We all met at breakfast on the Monday, and went to set up the booth.
Here we are during the setup, just the stamps are out. When it came to setting out the projects and cards I was so in awe seeing everyone else's creations. They look amazing in photo's, but believe me when I say the photo's don't do them justice, they are stunning works of art.
There we are with projects out. Sorry, these pics are straight out of camera.
Almost done.
Here we all are, the LDRS CHA team Summer 2013, Las Vegas.
I have not laughed as much in such a long time, it was a total blast, and a bit surreal. Meeting all of these people who's work I have admired for such a long time, and people popping to the booth looking familiar and then placing where you know them from. I really can't describe how amazing it was. I have to go back. I have looked forward to going all year, and looking back it seems as though it was over in a blink, but I will remember it forever.
Here's Janiel, Alby and Fabi at our little colouring desk. I could have sat and coloured with them all day long, I've never done anything like that before (well I sit and colour with Grace, but not the same, lol). Watching others colour, and getting tips on their method of colouring was amazing. I took my distress markers with me, and after people sat and watched us colouring they went and told Tim Holtz how impressed they were, he has contacted Angie and told her this, I feel a little bit special about this, lol.
While we were there quite a few people popped by, it was lovely to eventually meet Irina from La La Land stamps, she is so sweet. There were loads of others too, but I never always had my camera there.
I quickly met Tim Holtz.
Here I am at the Whimsey stall with an ex pat from North East England, the only person I could talk to with out having to repeat my self, lol.
The gorgeous Elise quickly met up with us at the hotel too, thank you sweetie for taking time out to come there and meet us, sorry we couldn't stay for longer, but I am so happy we met.
After a nigh tout with my uncle I met up with Rina, I was slightly tipsy by this point, lol.
Here we all are again out for our Design Team meal at Mesa at Ceasars Palace, what a fabulous night with gorgeous food and perfect company.
Alby hard at work while we were taking the booth down.
Thank you so much Angie for this opportunity, as I have already said, I have not laughed so much for such long time and over a week on I am still trying to catch up with my sleep.
Hugs,
