Fancy Folds at Magnolia-Licious

Morning everyone, I'm here with my card for the Fancy Folds challenge over at Magnolia-licious.

I have coloured Edwin With Teo The Dragon with Inktense pencils. The papers are all from Magnolia, I forgot I had so many still to come down from the attic, they work perfectly with this image.

This card is an adaptation of the Joy Fold card, I don't like adding lots of embellies to boy cards, so adding that little bit of oomph adding the extra folds works lovely.

The son tag is part of the Family Sentiments Set, I have used black top stitching threadgray hessian and some stardust stickles.

Thanks for popping by,

Hugs,

Becky xx

Card For A Boy at Magnolia-licious

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Magnolia-licious, our theme this time is to make a card for a boy.

I have inked up Football Edwin, and coloured him in with distress ink. The papers are also from Magnolia, and I have distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz tool.

Wish Upon A Star

Morning everyone,I'm here today with my wish upon a star themed card for Live and Love Crafts. I've gone down the fairytale route as I can't seem to get the song out of my head, and fairytales always have a happy ever after, so I've made a wedding card.

I've coloured Vintage Bridal Couple with distress markers, and added glamour dust for sparkle. There is also shabby white frantage sprinkled around the image too.

I've used a Go Kreate die to cut out the card, the papers, which are from Maja Designs Vintage Autumn Basics collection, have been distressed with Walnut Stain.

There is a small white paper bag tucked behind the image, with a tag that has also been cut from the VAB papers, and a white shabby seam binding double bow.

Hope you have a lovely day today, it's my baby boy's 8th birthday today, so we are off to watch Turbo and then off to Pizza Hut!

Hugs,

Becky xx

Winter Weather at Tilda's Town

Hi my lovelies, it's practically the weekend and as this goes live I should be on the way to Blackpool for my son's 7th birthday treat :)

It's time for another challenge at Tilda's Town, and this week our theme is 'Winter Weather'.

I have to confess that I don't often buy Edwin stamps, but when I saw Ski Edwin With Snowflakes he just jumped into my basket, isn't he cute and with the falling snowflakes he's perfect for this challenge. I've coloured him in with my distress markers.

The papers are from last years Christmas pad from Maja Design, and I've added some jute fabric behind Edwin.

The snowflake dies have been cut from an iridescent paper which hasn't been picked up too well on the photo's.

Hope you all have a fab weekend,

Hugs,

Becky x

Edwin With Aeroplane

Hi everyone, this week at Tilda's Town Challenges we want to see your cards for a man or a boy using Edwin. My baby nephew was one on 30th June and this is the card he got off me and hubby.

I've used some perfect DP for boys from MME, that works so well with Kraft. I've distressed the edges with Walnut Stain. Aeroplane Tilda has been coloured in with Distress Markers, but the aeroplane is coloured with the new limited edition distress pads.

I've used natural button twine. The nephew sentiment is from LOTV, and the starlight lace is a doohickey die.

Hope you can play along with us this week. I have two hyper kids, we're off on our holidays tomorrow. We're going to a cottage for a week in the Lake District, I'm taking my iPad, so signal permitting I may or not be AWOL for a week. But, I'm taking a few images and my distress markers so I'm sure I'll get a few images coloured ;)

Miami Edwin

Hi Everyone,

I'm playing along with team B this week, as due to unforseen circumstances we're a girl down, big hugs to you hun.
This week at Tilda's Town we want to see Edwin on your cards.

My Uncle was 60 on 7th June, and I made this card for him. He is from England, but emigrated to New Jersey a long time ago. He got married in Miami in 2010 and they pop down there a couple of times a year, they're actually wanting to retire there, so Edwin in Miami was the perfect choice for him.

The papers are from my cherished Maja design pad, I've distressed the edges with Walnut Stain and decorated the inside to match. The button twine is from The Ribbon Girl and I picked the shell charm up off eBay. The bunting is a doohickey die and the die cut letters are from a Cheery Lynn die. The sentiment is from LOTV.

I've coloured Edwin in with Distress markers, and used chalks for the background. I'm also entering this into the 'Welcome Summer' at Deep Ocean Challenge, and 'Anything Goes' at Wild Orchid Challenge.

Pop over to Tilda's Town and have a look at the stunning cards my team mates have come up with for your inspiration, the prize up for grabs is $15 voucher to spend at Tilda's Town and there's no P&P no matter the size of your order.

William

Hi everyone, it's Team A's turn this week at Midweek Magnolias, and this week we want to see anything other than a card. I can tell you this is so out of my comfort zone. I don't really do things that aren't cards.

So, I thought I'd make a pennant door sign for my son's bedroom. We live in an old house and we had the doors dipped and waxed and the flash has exposed little bits of paint in the cracks that we've missed. I used a xcut pennant die to cut out the kraft cordinations card, and I've sanded it down to give it an aged look. Edwin With Aeroplane has been coloured with distress inks and I've used the out of the box technique with my nesties. I've used button twine from the ribbon girl to hang it. The letters have been cut out using my Tim Holtz die. For some reason I started gluing before I placed everything down and I thought the second 'L' was just past the middle, so the wording was a bit lopsided, so I decided to attach a charm.

Pop over to Midweek Magnolias and have a look at the amazing inspiration the DT have over there.
