My Birthday Girl

Morning everyone, I'm here with you today with the card I made for my little girls birthday last week. When she saw the unicorn from the latest Magnolia release she asked for it for her birthday card, so I had to oblige her, and mask it along with Unicorn Tilda and add the Aladdin Pattern to the background too.

I have used one of the Gummiapan Stitched Square Dies too, and left it on while I distressed the edge to create a bit of border. I have coloured the image in with my distress reinkers to match the Sofiero Papers from Maja Design.

I used scraps of Sofiero to make the daffodils using both the small daffodil die and the large one too, and added grey stamens to the centre, and built my flowers up on top of an allium Gummiapan die.

From this angle you can see how I have given the image a bit of height when I have been building up the layers.

A close up so you can see hoe I have masked the two stamps together.

Thank you for stopping by,

Anyone For Cricket?

Good morning everyone, I'm here with you and today I have a card made for a boy for Swedish House Crafts. I don't know about you, but I struggle with these cards, I love to add my flowers, pearls, lace and other embellies to cards, but I can't on cards for boys, and I find it very hard to walk away...

As you can see I have still managed to add a few layers, and even with the stitching the Walking in the Forest papers, from Maja Design, have made this card perfectly masculine.

The dies on here are older Magnolia dies, but you could use DIE STITCHED BANNERS THINNER or DIES STITCHED BANNERS, these are both by Gummiapan and will work perfectly, or could even be layered to provide a totally different look.

Some of the sheets from the pad are perfect for using inside the card, just to give the same look on the inside too.

A little arty shot to see all of the layers on a 'boy card'.

And a close up of my cricketer.

Thank you for coming to visit today.

Make It Rectangle at Tiddly Inks

Morning everyone, I am super duper late today, but here is my card for our new challenge at Tiddlyinks and this time we want to see your creations with rectangle bases...

I have used Friends are Flowers clear stamp set, and for a change I have used my Inktense Pencils, I took these on holiday as they could easily go in my hand luggage and I had a spot of colouring before the rest of the family woke up on a morning :)

This is an extrememly CAS style for me, but I have got a load of stuff going on with me, and I am determined to not let it get my mojo this time, so CAS is better than nothing :)

I have also recently listed a load of cards for sale in my Etsy shop, it's HERE
if you want to take a peek.

Thank you everyone that pops by and leaves me a comment, I always enjoy reading them.

Hugs,

Becky xx
