St. Georges Day

Hi again,

Happy St. George's Day everyone, all being well I'll have a pint or two of beer to celebrate later today, after we've been to the rugby.

I've been a busy bee and have another post, well at least I hope I do-I've scheduled this so it may not happen. If it does work then I still have an hour to go at work.

This card has been coming along for a few weeks, I coloured the picture ages ago and have no idea what colours I've used, the image is from lili of the valley and is sooo cute. The lace (I think), the seambinding and the glitzed up blooms are all from wild orchid crafts and the leaves have been punched out with my Martha Stewart punch. I've used the flash on my camera to try and pick up the stickles and glamour dust, it's not as sparkly as it is in real life, but you can see it more than without the flash.

The butterfly paper is the 6x6 from magnolia, I got it from dies to die for. I've also used spellbinders and go kreate dies.

The inside has been decorated to compliment the outside. You can also just see in this angle my glitter corners on another lili of the valley stamp.

I've made it for a Christening we're going to on Sunday. We live on North East coast, literally right next to the sea and the last few days we've had nothing but sea fret so fingers crossed the sun will eventually burn it off for Sunday.

Happy Easter

Hi,

I can't believe it's been so long since my last post, we've had some really nice weather and I've been asked to make a few cards by a colleague so not had chance to do anything for my blog. Also, a quick hello to my new followers-I'm now in double figures :).

I've made this card for the challenge over at lovely-haenglar-only, it's not to use designer paper. I originally wanted to emboss some card and colour the raised part with copics, but I couldn't get it neat enough. I also didn't want to use any flowers, but it looked bare even with my silver corners. The cute bunny girl is from Hanglar Stanglar. Their internet shop now ships worldwide, oh dear!! There's several stamps that I 'need', so I keep checking to see if they're shipping these yet-it's a good job I work, lol. The silver ink corners are from lili of the valley, I couldn't decide which set to get so ended u with several. The card is from my stash and I've embossed using a cuttlebug embossing folder. The twine and card button are also from my stash. The sentiment is from whimsy stamps.

I've coloured her in copics, the bunny outfit and shoes are E40, E41, E42, E43, E44 and dark brown prisma pencil.
Inside her ears are R20 and R22.
Skin is E0000, E000, E00, E01, E11 and pink prisma pencil, I think you get a more subtle blush this way.
Her top is BG70, BG72, BG75 and black prisma.
I can't remember her hair colours (oops).

That's it from me for now, hubby is just finishing the tea, and I'm on nights in just under 3 hours.

Take care,

Love

Together Forever

I was browsing at the weekend and came across this sketch and thought it'd be ideal for this image I'd just stamped up. I had another look this morning and noticed that it finishes today so I've only got a topper and not a finished card yet. When I saw this image I knew I wanted this for to give to my husband for our anniversary, I don't think it's too girly for my 'Big, Butch Hubby', lol! I'm also taking him away for a weekend, he doesn't know where so I'm not telling, but I will say that we got married in Rome and that I'm following a theme ;). He thinks it's either Madrid or Milan.

I have to apologise for the shadows off the flowers, I take my pictures on the worktop in the kitchen as I much prefer natural light, and as I'm rushed I can't wait for the sun to go in.

The image is Toadstool for Two from lili of the valley, as is the sentiment, I can't wait to get my mits on the new stamps I've seen bing used on blogs. I've coloured it in with Copics, the bunnies are from E40, E41, E42, E43 and E44 I'm not sure about the others, but I have the school (nursery) run in about 20 mins I'm in a rush. The papers are from raspberry road designs, I just love these printable papers. I've used my nesties for the ovals with bazzill from my stash, and once again the flowes are from wildorchidcrafts. The raffia lace is from bunnyzoescrafts.

I'm entering this into papertakeweekly. So sorry for the rushed post, and a big hello to my new followers. Oops, I should have being doing housework seeing as though I'm working 1-9, but I like to have a home and not a house, lol.

Thinking Of You

Hello to my sixth follower Pat, who noticed the deliberate mistake last post, lol!

I've not long since come back from the dentist after having to have two fillings, my face feels huge and I'm having a warm cup of coffee through a straw and feeling only slightly sorry for myself :(.

Once again I have another Hanglar card, I just can't seem to stay away from these cuties. I'm entering this one into lovely-haenglar-only 'Sketch and portrait' and also into just magnolia and hanglar stanglar 'Anything goes'.

I saw this technique ages ago in a Magnolia Ink magazine and this is the first time I've used it and I'm quite impressed how easy it was. I've coloured her in with copics and prisma's. I've kept my nestie in place when I've coloured the edges with distress ink.

I can't remember the exact colours, but I know the ribbons are from E40, E41, E42, E43 and E44. The blue dress is from B91, B93, B95, B97 and B99. The skin is my usual E0000, E000, E00, E01 and E11 with prisma pencil for the cheeks. The carnation leaves and stem is G82, G85 and G99 and the carnation itself is R22, R24 and R29. The hair I can't even guess.

The gorgeous paper is from raspberry road designs 'Tea for two', I love the ditsyness of this pattern. I've distressed the edges and got my sewing machine out. The flowers are mainly from wild orchid crafts with the small blue rose buds coming from ebay ages ago. The sentiment is also from hanglar along with the circle background, I've aged the papers with Tim Holtz distress inks.

I've also used my doohickeys and card from my (getting quite considerable) stash, lol.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, I've got a full weekend with my kids as I'm not back to work until 9am Monday morning, YAY!!!
