Two Backing Papers with The Ribbon Girls Magnolia Challenge

Hi everyone, I'm back again, this time I have my card for the Ribbon Girls Magnolia challenge, our theme this week is to use two backing papers.

I've coloured Tilda with Ditstress Markers, the sparkle is from glamour dust and I've also added shabby white frantage around the image.

The flowers are all from The Ribbon Girl, click on the links at the end to go directly to the products in the shop.

Unusually for me, the papers are from ........., I've distressed the egdes with a Tim Holtz tool and then machine sewn them with cream topstitch thread.

I was on nights last night and it's my nephews second birthday today and he's having a party, so I'll def sleep tonight, lol.

I'm entering this into 'Vintage Style With Pearls' at Simply Magnolia.

Tomboy Tilda at Totally Tilda

Hi everyone, yes that's right, I'm a Tildarette once again, I'm part of the lovely DT at Totally Tilda

For this challenge we want to see your Tom Boy Tilda's.

I've used Maja Design papers, again, the edges have been distressed with a Tim Holtz tool and then machine sewn with white top stitich thread.

I've coloured Tilda in with Distress markers, and added sparkle with glamour dust. The clouds have been made with chalks and then sprayed with a spray from crafters companion to stop it from smudging.

The lace, organza, chrysanths and tulips are from the ribbon girl, there's links at the end of the post.

I love doing these short, straight haired Tilda's.

I'm entering this into 'Vintage Style With Pearls' at Simply Magnolia and challenge #203 at MDUC.

We are sponsored this challenge by Bunnyzoe.

Make It Girlie With Ribbons & Pearls At Midweek Magnolias

Hi everyone, Becky here today with my card for Midweek Magnolias

A different colour for me, but I have recently just got a Life By The Sea 6x6 pad from Maja Design and I thought I'd go for the greens in there. The edges have been distressed with both Walnut Stain and a Tim Holtz tool.

The paper on the inside is also from the pad. Love, love love Tilda has been coloured with distress markers, with glamour dust in the hearts. Around the image there is Shabby White Frantage and on the butterfly there is Shabby Green,

There are links to everything at the end of the post.

The roses are from WOC.

My arty shot, lol. I've had a lovely long weekend, I have 2 lots of news that I can't share just yet, I went to see Robbie Williams at Manchester on Friday, we had such a great spot that we could see his grey hairs, lol. It was amazing though, Robbie and Olly are such great showmen. And, regular visitors to my blog will know that it was Grace's birthday on Friday, we had such a lovely day.

Live and Love Crafts Birthday Blog Hop

**This is a Sticky Post and will stay at the top until the end of the hop at 12 noon GMT on 25th June**
**Please scroll down for my new posts**

Hi everyone, and welcome to the Blog Hop to celebrate Live and Love Crafts First Birthday, I'm stop number 2 so you should have come here from Live And Love Crafts Blog.

We are using our favourite products from the store, wow such a free reign, I love everything that Sandy stocks. I've made a card for Grace's 6th birthday with my favourite stash. It was this weekend last year that we were away for her birthday and with the usual British summer the weather was pants, so we were sat in and while I was blog hopping with an intermittent signal I came across Live & Love Crafts store and blog, and well the rest as they say is history.

Here's the order of the hop;

Becky (me)

There's a £20 store voucher up for grabs, all you have to do is leave a comment on everyone's post and add your name to Inlinkz on the LLC blog.

There are also 4 prizes hidden along the way, so make sure you visit every blog.

Here is my card.

Regular readers will know how I have more than a little soft spot for purple, and this is my most favourite every collection of paper, it's Maja Designs 'Shall We Have Coffee', so many gorgeous purples :)

When I'm putting a card together I like to have quite a shabby look to it, and my favourite tool for this is the Tim Holtz distresser tool (all links are at the end of the post), and also the ink applicator to distress the edges of the paper, and sometimes I do both.

Grace chose the image for me to colour, she wanted her dress pink and yellow hair, she was happy with this as her cake is pink and she 'loves' her hair. Another of my fav products that Sandy stocks is Glamour Dust, it gives such a lovely subtle sparkle effect, I've put some on the cake. And then there is frantage, of course!! I've used Aged Wine here, but I do have them all.

I also love the Kort og Godt flowers that's in store, on this card I've used Lilac Rolled Roses, Cream Chrysanthemums and Cream Hortensia along with a purple Shabby Tulle Rose from Magnolia and a couple of poppies.

And not forgetting the Shabby Seam binding that come in the most gorgeous colours, and of course the little paper bags that are fab for tucking behind images and adding a tag.

Your next stop on the hop is the lovely Tina, good luck.

It is actually Grace's birthday today, so we are going to the pictures and out for a grown up meal at a local restaurant tonight. Where has my baby girl gone, I so wish I could slow time down.

Hugs,

Becky xx

Don't Be Square

Hi everyone, I'm here with my card for the latest challenge at A Creative Romance and for our second challenge our theme is 'Don't Be Square', so we want to see your shaped creations.

I think this is one of my favourite Tilda's, and I didn't originally order her, but I saw her on a few creations around blogland and I just had to have her, lol. She's been coloured with distress markers and then had glamour dust added for sparkle.

I've used a Go Kreate die to cut the card out, I really must use these more as I really like the shaped cards. The papers are from Maja Design, yep again, and are from the Vintage Summer Basics 12x12 collection. The edges have been distressed with Walnut Stain.

There's Shabby White frantage around the image too. I've added picket fence crackle paint and stickles to the flowers.

We're sponsored for this challenge by the lovely Nikki at Bunnyzoe's.

Something Fruity At Saturated Canary

Hi everyone, we have a fab theme for you this challenge at Saturated Canary and it's 'Summer Fruits'. For this we want to see images with fruit on, fruit colours or fruit on your card.

I decided to use the gorgeous Apple Crumble paper from Maja Design, and match my image to the colours. I've coloured Roses are Red, Violets are Blue with my distress markers, and added glamour dust for sparkle. There is also shabby green frantage around the image, you have probably guessed that I am loving that stuff.

The edges of the paper have been distressed with Walnut Stain ink, and then in places I've used a distressing tool and then machine sewn the papers. There's links to everything at the end of the post.

The roses are from WOC, I've added some white acrylic texture paste and stickles to them.

The DT have some great interpretations of this theme, we can't wait to see yours.

Hugs,

Becky xx

Vintage Wedding Couple and Cracked Glass Technique

I just got this image the other day, and I was going to make a Wedding card, I have been asked to make quite a few for later in the year, I coloured it up at work on Monday night and as I was on my way home one of my colleagues asked me to make a Golden Wedding card for her Mam and Dad and I thought 50 years of marriage was more romantic than a Wedding Card for our Inspirational theme this week at LLC.

She wanted a card bigger than my usual 6x6, so this has been cut with my largest Go Kreate die, I've used Maja Design Vintage Summer Basics 12x12 papers, and used walnut stain around the edges.

I've used a Tim Holtz Typeset die for the lettering and then added a sprinkle of Gold Glamour dust.

The roses are from my stash, there are links so the other flowers at the end. I've used Shabby White Frantage on the pearls.

I was brave and decided to try the Cracked Glass technique to a coloured image, I've only done it once before and that was on a printed image. This is my way of how to do it. I added liquid pearls and glamour dust, and let it dry thoroughly. When it was dry I used the versamark ink and covered the whole image and then used UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel) and then melted with a heat gun, and repeated this until I had a complete covering, 3 times for most of the image, but in places it took me about 5 times. I then let it harden for a while (I think you can put it in the freezer, but I craft in the attic and after doing some exercises the other day that had loads of squats in the stairs aren't my friend at the mo). When it was nice and hard I folded it over my fingers to get the cracks, when I was happy with the cracks I added Walnut Stain ink to them and rubbed it in with the ink tool, and I think it suits this image and card perfectly.

Deep Ocean Welcomes Summer :)

Hi everyone, time for our new challenge at Deep Ocean, this fortnight our theme is 'Welcome Summer'.

This is one of my favourite Tilda's, and to me she is perfect to personify summer, out in the garden picking roses.

The papers are from Maja Designs Vintage Summer Basics. The edges have been distressed with a Tim Holtz tool, and then machine sewn with topstitch thread.

The flowers are from The Ribbon Girl, click on the images at the end to be taken to them in the shop.

I've also dabbed a bit of textured acrylic paint here and there, along with stickles. There is also glamour dust for sparkle and aged rose frantage too.

As always Tilda has been coloured with Distress Markers and reinkers.

Hugs,

Becky xx

CLP Sketch #59

Hi everyone, I'm here today with my card for the midway reminder at CLP Challenge.

Here's Chelsea's gorgeous sketch, I've flipped it though.

I've coloured Forget Me Not Tilda in with distress markers, and added glamour dust for sparkle. There is also shabby white frantage too.

The papers are from Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics, I love this collection, so many pretty designs. The edges have been distressed with a Tim Holtz tool, and then machine sewn using topstitch thread.

There are links to most products at the end, I thought the lace was from the Ribbon Girl, but I can't seem to find it in the shop.

My arty shot.

I'm also entering this card into the DT Call over at Totally Tilda, I've been a Tildarette before, and I'd love to be one again. The theme is 'Your Interpretation Of Summer'.

Hugs,

Becky xx
