One For The Boys at Ribbon Girl Magnolia Challenge

Hi everyone, I'm here today with my card for the Ribbon Girl Magnolia Challenge, our theme is 'One For The Boys'.

I have coloured Black Night Edwin with Distress Markers, and used a touch of Stardust Stickles for a bit of sparkle. I love the expression on the horses face.

The prize up for grabs is a stamp from Magnolia, and a voucher for the Ribbon Girl.

Yay!!!

Hi, I'm just popping by with some great news that I got yesterday.

I have been asked to be GDT for the next guest slot at Bunnyzoes. I got the email while I was on my break at work, my colleagues must have wondered why I was smiling so much at my phone, lol.

Thank you so much for asking me.

Paper Piecing at Saturated Canary

Hi everyone, I'm here today with my card for the new challenge at Saturated Canary, this time we want to see your cards with images that have been paper pieced. This is something I have wanted to try for ages, methinks I'll be doing it again, it's great for little scraps of DP you have laying around.

I've coloured Bella in with my reinkers, somehow I've managed to line up her skates, but make her wonky when I've cut her out. I've paper pieced her top and tights using paper from Maja Designs 6x6 Vintage Summer Basics papers. Sparkle has been added with glamour dust and shabby white frantage.

There is a list of products that I've used at the end, just click on the picture to go direct to the shop.

I have shaded the pieces that I've cut out with black soot ink.

Hi everyone, I'm here with my creation for Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.

I've used Princess from the Cutie Pie collection and made a box frame card. I've used distress markers to colour her in, and used glamour dust and frantage to add sparkle.

I have also made a little banner with the Use Your Word Sentiments.

Warm and Cosy at Midweek Magnolias

Hi everyone, I'm here with my DT card for Midweek Magnolias, our theme is 'Warm and Cosy', we want to see Tilda in a coat, a magnolia furry creature or feathers, I went for feathers (and Tilda does have long sleeves on her top, lol).

I have been asked by a girl at work to make a card for her to give her Mom for her 70th birthday, and this is what I came up with.

I have used papers from Maja Designs Sofiero collection, even the strip along the bottom. The edges have been distressed with a Tim Holtz tool and Walnut Stain. Everything I've used is available from Live and Love Crafts, just click on the links at the end.

Food Glorious Food At Totally Tilda

Hi everyone, I'm here today with my creation for the 'Food Glorious Food' challenge at Totally Tilda.

I saw this shabby canvas covered book box on amazon a while back, and when I saw this challenge I knew what I was going to do, make it into something that I can store recipe cards in, index cards fir in perfectly.

This is one of my oldest Tilda's, and also one of my all time favourites :) she's been coloured with distress markers, I've distressed the edge with Walnut Stain, used a Stempelglede swirl stamp and also Shabby Blue Frantage, love that stuff. For most of the items there are links at the end, but the blue flower was a gift that I got when I was at CHA, thought it would fit this perfectly as I needed a flat flower.

I've just realised that I haven't introduced my birthday present.

Here is George,

Not his best pic, but Grace took it the other day of him, he is such a little bundle of fun and mischief. The house was too quiet and wrong without Milo, George has fit in with us perfectly. He is a Border Terrier, and he has just had his second injections so we can take him for walks soon.

Special Delivery

Hi everyone, I'm here today with my inspirational card for LLC using some of the gorgeous resin pieces that Sandy stocks.

I know I have recently made a card with this image, but my SIL has asked me to make one of these for some friends that recently had a baby girl. I have used distress markers and reinkers to colour the image in, using glamour dust for sparkle.

The papers are from the gorgeous limited edition Sofiero from Maja Design, the edges have been distressed with a Tim Holtz tool and then lightly distressed with Walnut Stain ink. I have also used the strip from along the bottom. I have used one of the corner resin pieces and also a butterfly one, to which I covered in shabby pink frantage.

The roses are from WOC and Kort og Godt, all available in store, just click on the links at the end to be taken directly to them in the shop.

Goodbye To Sweet Louise and CLP #62

Good morning everyone, this is a bit of a sad post. The lovely Louise of Louises scrapperie is putting away her crafty stash, and giving up crafting. Us, her team mates at Live and Love Crafts have decided to do a post each to let her know how much we will miss her, we chose today as it is her last day of posting at LLC. I am also teamies with Louise at CLP so I thought it was only right to combine the two.

I have been properly blogging just over 18 months, and in the time before that I spent ages drooling over peoples creations, and Louise was one of those people. I wanted to get the hang of distress inks, and Louise is one of the people whose work I looked at for ages to get tips. Her cards are always perfect, I love every detail of them, and can (and do) look at them for ages. Louise then joined LLC and CLP and I have gotten to know this lovely sweet lady. She is so sweet, kind and funny. Louise has taken the hard decision to leave the crafty world, and I can fully understand her situation, but I also know that she will be greatly missed.

Goodbye Louise, I am so privileged to have worked with you, and to have gotten to know you, but please be a stalker and visit us now and again!!

Here is the card I have made for Louise, following Chelsea's lovely sketch.

And, here is Chelsea's sketch, I've rotated it 180 degrees.

Gorgeous as ever, right??! Louise loves pink, so there was only one colour option to use.....

I have coloured Sakura Tilda in with distress markers, and added glamour dust and shabby white frantage
. The papers are from Maja Designs Vintage Summer paper pad, the edges have been distressed with Walnut Stain ink and a Tim Holtz tool.

There are links to the products at the end of my post, just click on the pictures at the end of the post.

I hope that you can join in with this sketch at CLP.

Louise, the crafty world is going to miss you, as am I, big hugs,

Becky xx

The flowers are all available at Live and Love crafts and are a mixture of WOC and Kort og Godt, they have had snow tex and stardust stickles added.

The pom pom trim and the rose organza are both from The Ribbon Girl, Mary and Andrea from the Ribbon Girl are generously sponsoring this challenge.

I've used a doohickey border die, and a Martha Stewart punch.

Shabby Chic At Saturated Canary

Hi everyone, today I'm here with my DT card for Saturated Canary, for this challenge the lovely Vicky has chosen Shabby Chic. This is right up my alley, I love this style :)

I have coloured Comfy Slippers Fairy in with pencils, and added sparkle with glamour dust.

The papers are from Maja Designs Vintage Spring Basics, and have been distressed with Walnut Stain and a Tim Holtz tool.

GDT at It's All About The Vintage

Hi everyone, the lovely Sande asked me a while ago if I would like to be GDT at It's All About The Vintage, how could I refuse??

The theme is 'Book Cover', well ever since my teammates Elin and Tracy made lace books I have been itching to give one a go. And, as luck would have it, as I was tidying my craft room getting ready to move rooms, I found these 6 x 6 albums, perfect for the job!!!

I didn't want the front of the book to be too bulky so I haven't matted the paper onto Bazzill. The paper is from the 6 x 6 paper pads from both Vintage Spring Basics and also Vintage Summer Basics. The edges have been distressed with a Tim Holtz tool. The image is from Girls From Grandma's Attic, tinted, by Pion Design and has been distressed with Walnut stain.

Here is a top view to see all of the luscious laces from Live and Love Crafts, I have also fastened some around the large metal rings that hold the album together.

The wooden veneer 'darling' is from my stash, the pearl string is from WOC and all of the other embellies are from LLC.

Hugs,

Becky xx

Autumn Is Coming....

Happy Wednesday, I'm here today with my DT card for Midweek Magnolias, for this challenge we want to see your cards in autumn colours. Yes, I'm afraid here in the UK autumn is on it's way (15 weeks today until Christmas Day!!), it's my birthday today and I've always sort of had it in mind that is when autumn tends to begin, in fact most years on 11th September it rains.....

I've coloured Hip Hurray Tilda in with my pencils again, I think I'm getting the hang of it.

The papers are from Maja Designs Shall We Have Coffee collection and have been distressed both with Walnut Stain and a Tim Holtz tool.

The flowers are all available from Live and Love Crafts, just click on the links at the end to go to them in the shop.

Hubby and the kids are taking me out for tea tonight, I don't know where it's a surprise. I might have some news after today, I've got my fingers crossed that it's good news. I'll take some pictures of my birthday present soon, I got the present before my birthday, it just didn't seem right to do it before.

I'm entering this into Hearts challenge at MDUC.

Hugs,

Becky xx
