Drip Drop Tilda

Morning everyone, I'm here today with my card for the inspiration post this week at Live and Love Crafts, Sandy has set us the challenge of using Annie's Song for inspiration, I have used the line 'Line A Walk In The Rain'. I have had this song stuck in my head for ages now, I used to play this on the recorder at school, Grace has inherited my recorder, and when I picked it up the other day I can still play this song.


I have coloured Drip Drop Tilda is with distress reinkers and markers, and used aged silver Frantage to look like rain.


The papers are fromMaja Designs Vintage Spring Basics 6x6 pad, the edges have been distressed with Pumice Stone ink, as has the edge of the inage (I left the die on while I did this to give this frame effect).


Doesn't the mine hearts crochet trim make the sweetest banner? With love mentioned so often in the song how could I not use the Love Heart clips.

LOTV Birthday Fairies Blog Hop

Morning everyone, it's time for the Blog Hop to show off the new Birthday Fairies from Lili Of The Valley.

There are 10 adorable new stamps in the set and they will be available to buy on the website from 10am on Saturday 10th May.

The shop in Leeds is open that day for the Birthday celebrations, there will be lots going on and we have design team members from all over the world coming along, I'm going to be there too colouring with my distress markers and adding frantage to images too.
There will be more new products, demonstrations and special offers  ….we’re all very excited about it and it should be a really great day.

Don’t worry if you can’t get to the shop because there will be some online fun too, we will let you have details nearer the time but Lucy will be on Facebook throughout the day bringing you chat, news and pictures from the shop.

Just ‘hop’ from one blog to another following the links, hopefully we can give you lots of ideas and inspiration for using these cute new images

As always we have some hidden prizes along the way, we don’t know where they are so do be sure to visit and comment on every blog
It will be announced on the Ideas to Inspire blog on Saturday morning which were the ‘lucky’ blogs. The winners will be drawn at random from all the comments that were left on those blogs

I have used Time Flies and colured her in with distress inks, as always I have made the wings sparkle with glamour dust, there is also some chunky white enamel around the image too.


The papers are also from LOTV, I have used sheets from both Bonnets and Bowties pad and also from the Bonnets and Bowties Solids too, the edges have been distressed with a Tim Holtz tool and then machine sewn with Top Stitch Thread.


Who else used to do this with dandelions when they were little?

Add Flowers at The Ribbon Girl

Morning everyone, time for a new challenge at The Ribbon Girls card challenge, our theme this week is 'Flowers', with all of the gorgeous flowers Mary and Andrea stock, this one is super easy.


I have used Water Lily from the new Magical Fairies Art Pad which will be released at 10am on Saturday 10th May on their 10th Birthday Celebrations. I'm going along to the shop in Leeds for the party, hope you can make it too, there will also be a virtual party, check out their facebook page for details CLICK HERE.


The papers are also from LOTV, I have used Bonnets and Bowties pad and Bonnets and Bowties Solids, the edges have been distressed with a Tim Holtz tool.


From The Ribbon Girl I have used Phoebe Lace, Rose Organza, White Teeny Tiny Pom Pom Trim, 3mm pearls, winged heart charm, Button Twine, Flowers and Stardust Stickles.

May Collage Challenge at Live and Love Crafts

1st of May today, so that means there is a new challenge over at the Live and Love Crafts blog page, this month our lovely Tina (or Tinchy) has designed this gorgeous collage for our inspiration, isn't it just so Tina??


Here is my take on it, as soon as I saw it I knew I was going to use Maja Designs Sofiero collection.


I have coloured one of the new Lili Of The Valley Fairies in with distress markers, this cutie is called Flower Dance, and they'll be available to buy soon.


The papers have been distressed with a Tim Holtz tool. I have added glamour dust to the wings of the fairy, and sprinkled shabby pink frantage around her too. On the birdcage I have added shabby white frantage, and before this had dried I added a sprinkle of both shabby pink and shabby green, the pics really don't do it justice. Fastened to the birdcage, in a triple bow, is some shabby white seam binding. Sandy makes this herself.


As always there are stickles on the flowers, and I have also added some picket fence crackle paint.
