Great news

Just a quick post, I've just checked my emails and I've been asked to be guest designer at It's a Magnolia Challenge for May and June next year, yay!
I'll have to keep this short, I'm away in the Yorkshire dales and I've only intermittently got 1 bar of signal, I've got a banner too, but I'm only on my iPad and don't know/can't pop it on just yet.
Happy Christmas Eve everyone, hope you have a fab time.
Big hugs,
Becky xx

Home For Christmas and Window # 19 at LLC

Hi everyone, I'm here today with my favourite product from behind Window # 19 at Live and Love Crafts combined with my DT card for Midweek Magnolias our theme this week is 'Home For Christmas'. Sandy stocks the most gorgeous lace at LLC, one of my all time favourites is the scrumptious Fleurs Des Jardins lace.

I've interpreted this theme as being at home at Christmas, so I've used a Tilda that to me looks like she is at home, well she hasn't got a coat on, lol. I've coloured her with distress markers and added glamour dust for sparkle. I've used Christmas Stars from Inkido and also Guardian Angels from Pion Design

Of course I've used some Fleurs Des Jardins Lace, the roses are from Kort og Godt.

I've also used cream chrysanthemumsKort og Godt Berries and some Bordeaux Rolled Roses sprinkled with diamond dust.

Six days to go and I've still not got a present wrapped, I'm going to have to get a wriggle on. This is going to be my last post for a while, we're going away on Saturday for almost a week, I can't be home this Christmas. So hope you all have a lovely time and get to spend time doing whatever makes you happy.

I'm entering this into the 'Santa Is Coming To Town' at Deep Ocean Challenges, 'Christmas' at MDUC, 'Anything Goes' at Divas By Design and 'Christmas' at You Me And Magnolia.

Hugs,

Window # 16 at LLC

Hi everyone, I'm here today with Window # 16. I have to confess, I rarely use pins on my cards, that is until Sandy stocked Berries Pins, so today my card features these pins, and the prize up for grabs is 2 sets of Berries Pins, 1 set of Maya Road Vintage Pearl Pins, a set of Heart Pins and a set of Crystal Pins.

For your chance of winning, this is what you'll have to do:
1) Become a follower of the blog if you're not already
2) Post our Advent Blinkie in your Blog Sidebar. The html code can be found here.
3) Leave a comment on the blog post HERE with your thoughts on the project.

I've eventually inked one of the newbies from the Magnolia kit, as soon as I saw this one I knew I'd colour her first, she's been coloured with my distress markers, and glamour dust added for subtle sparkle.

I'm still stuck firmly in my purple phase, and these papers from Maja Design are perfect, I've used Two Ladies and At My Place from Shall We Have Coffee? and the edges have been distressed with Walnut Stain.

I've used the gorgeous Berries Pins, the roses are from WOC and I've also used cream chrysanthemums from Kort og Godt. The pearls are from Melissa Frances, and I've used the new Greta Garbo lace. I've tucked a So Wrapped Lovely Heart Tag behind and added some Plum Sorbet Shabby Seam Binding and white just twine with big love charm.

Enjoy your Sunday,

Hugs,

Anything But A Card At Marvelous Magnolia

Hi everyone, how's your Christmas preparations coming along? Mine have a long way to go, as I'm writing this I don't have a single thing wrapped, it's another thing I don't like, but I'll get it done soon.

This week at Marvelous Magnolia our challenge is 'Anything But A Card'. I've said before how I get a bit of a cold sweat at this theme, but I've been wanting to try this for a while, and I really enjoyed it. I've altered a notebook to make a Recipe Book, you know for all of those recipes you're given, or have adapted yourself. At last, I've made something for me.

The paper is from Maja Designs Shall We Have Coffee collection. Tilda has been coloured with Distress Markers and Refills.

I found it hard keeping it relatively CAS, as with it being a book I couldn't put my usual flowers and ribbons.

I'm entering this into the 'Notebook' challenge at Magnolia Mania.

Christmas Surprise at Midweek Magnolias

Hi, it's me again, I'm back with the Christmas Surprise challenge at Midweek Magnolias. I was going to just have a tag tucked away on my card, I know it's not very inventive but after the week I've had with poorly kids it was as exciting as I could muster. But, for a bit of inspiration I checked to see what the other girls had come up with, after I saw the amazing projects the other extremely talented ladies had come up with I had to up my game. I was bloghopping the other day and I saw a card by Dena and I really liked the look of, so this is what I have.

At first glance it looks like a criss cross card, I've even tucked a tag in there to continue the pretence, but it is actually a Triangle Joy Fold card.

The papers are from the It's Christmas Time 6 x 6 Paper Pad from Maja Design. The edges have been distressed and then machine sewn using top stitch thread

The tag has some 8mm Cream Vintage Style Fine Scallop Lace and Autumn Leaves Shabby Seam Binding.. There is also some 25mm Cream Fine Cluney Lace and along the bottom there is some of the gorgeous Ivory Rose Pearl Organza. The roses are from WOC and there's also a few cream chrysanths.

I'm entering this into the 'Celebrate Christmas' at Tilda's Town and ''Tis The Season' at Simply Magnolia.

Hugs,

Advent Calendar Day #2 at Live and Love Crafts

Hi everyone, I'm here today with the second window in our Advent Calendar at Live and Love Crafts.

Sandy carries so many gorgeous things in her shop, there are a few that are my favourites, but the first product I'm picking for our Advent Calendar are these pearl centers. These are gorgeous, and I need to get some more as I'm down to my last one, they look fab in flower arrangements, which I have used quite a few times, or as the center of larger flowers, like I've done today, so today's prize is this set of three Pearl Centers from Maya Road:

Here is my card.

I've used papers form the It's Christmas Time from Maja Design, the papers on the front are both sides of Merry and inside is The Perfect Christmas Tree, the Poinsettia is cut from sheets out of the 6 x 6 paper pad, and I've used a Vintage Finding Pearl Centre for the center.

I've used some Autumn Leaves Seasonal Shabby Seam Binding, fastened it into a double bow and added a beaded center. I've coloured Tilda in with my distress markers.

I've added some Gesso here and there too.

The card has been cut out using a Go Kreate die, and the oval is a spellbinders die. I'm entering this card into the 'Celebrate Christmas' challenge at Tilda's Town and the 'Christmas Card' challenge at Dutch Magnolia Chickies.

For your chance of winning, please do the following:
1) Become a follower of the LLC blog if you're not already
2) Post our Advent Blinkie in your Blog Sidebar. The html code can be found here.
3) Leave a comment on the blog post at LLC with your thoughts on the project.

Anything But A Card At LLC

Hi everyone, time for a new challenge at Live and Love Crafts, and our theme this month is 'Anything But A Card'. When this theme was announced I came out in a bit of a cold sweat, I don't do anything other than cards. But, I got my thinking cap on. My friend was due to have a baby at the beginning of October, so I thought I'd make a card/CD holder to keep all of the photo CD's in. I even made the template myself.

I know it's still in theory a card, but it is also a CD holder, lol. I've used Krista's adorable Butterfly Baby and coloured him in with distress markers and added glamour dust sparkle.

The paper is As Long As I Live from Maja Design, the product that gave me the inspiration to make this is definitely the Fabscraps Latch Set.

As you can see I sort of adapted the theory behind book cards (although I've never made one of those either). I couldn't not use any flowers, but I kept them to a minimum, the rose buds are from WOC, and I've also used antique blue rolled roses and a white magnolia shabby chic tulle rose.

Pop over to LLC and check out the truly gorgeous creations the DT and GDT have come up with, we can't wait to see what you make.

Hugs,

Becky x

Monochrome At Marvelous Magnolia

Hi everyone, I can't believe it's been a week since I posted anything, but I have been busy trying to get the rest of my DT projects caught up, and trying to be organised for Christmas.
This week at Marvelous Magnolia our theme 'Monochrome', OK you can still use skin and hair colour, but the majority of your card has to be shades of one colour.

This has to be one of my favourite Tilda's, I've coloured her with distress markers and added sparkle with glamour dust.

The papers are both sides of Ornament from Pion Design, I've distressed the edges and then machine sewn them using top stitch thread. I've used dusty blue rolled roseswhite chrysanths, white magnolia beads and roses from WOC.

Along the bottom I've used white pearl rose organza, across the middle and for the bow I've used vintage blue fluted edge sheer ribbon and on the tag I've put dusky blue zig zag cotton lace and seam binding (I found a piece in my box, and I don't know the colour, sorry).

I'm entering this into 'Anything Goes' at Tilda's Town, 'Use a Tag' at The Dutch Magnolia Chickies, 'Pastel Colours' at Deep Ocean Challenge, 'Anything Goes' at 7 Kids College Fund and 'Deeper Shade Of Blue' at Songbird Challenges'.

Anything Goes At Lili's Little Fairies

Hi everyone, it's Anything Goes at Lili's Little Fairies. I was posting some cards at the post office a few weeks ago and the lady behind the counter was questioning me on what I made, long story short she asked me to make a card for her Granddaughters Christening, she was over the moon with the card. My favourite christening image is Baby Christening.

I've coloured the image in with my distress markers, and added sparkle with glamour dust. I've used a Go Kreate die for the card and used papers from Maja Design Vintage Summer Basics.

The sentiment stamp is also from LOTV. Across the middle there is some church window guipure from The Ribbon Girl, and some ash rose shabby seam binding from Live and Love Craft

The roses and heather are from WOC, I've also used chrysanths and rolled roses. The pink pom pom trim are from here, there's also self adhesive hearts and pearls.

I'm entering it into the 'Punches and/or Dies' at In The Pink and the 'Pastel Colours' at Deep Ocean Challenges.
