Amazing

Wednesday again, and once again time for another challenge at My Mums Craft Shop Challenges, this week we want to see your shaped creations and there is a voucher up for grabs from My Mums Craft Shop.

I've coloured the lovely Nevaeh from Saturated Canary with distress inks. The paper is from my scraps box, but the turquoisey blue matched her dress lovely.

I've used a large scalloped circle from Go Kreate, the other circle dies are my nesties. The ribbon and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. This is the first time I've made one of these cards, and I have to say that the jury is still out

The amazing tag die has been stamped using a Whimsy stamp, and I've cut it out freehand. Come along and join us.

My Candy

Hi everyone,

I've not had the best of starts to the year, I lost my Mam and Dad in January and I've found card making a great way to get through this. Also, I'm getting close to 100 followers. Plus, within a week I was asked to join three great DT's, My Mum's Craft Shop Challenges, Lovely hAnglar Only and Totally Tilda.

I'm offering one lucky person the chance to win this candy, simply by commenting on this post and popping the picture about my candy on your blog and I'll draw a winner on 31st March. You don't have to follow me, but it would be nice.

There's 2 unused Special Edition Tilda's, 4 sheets of 6x6 Magnolia paper, several charms, 10 small bags for tags, a selection of ribbon, a butterfly Cheery Lynn die and a selection of wooden hearts. (The easel isn't included).

Good luck,

Totally Tilda

Have any of you noticed my newest badge I've been displaying for a while in my left hand side bar? That's right I'm on the DT at Totally Tilda. When Susie asked me I didn't even have to think about it, of course I wanted to join. I've looked admiringly at the work on their for ages, and I was thrilled to have been asked.

The theme this fortnight is Die Cut and Punches, you must use both on your card.

I've used a Martha Stewart border punch for the border, and I've die cut the circles for the sentiment and I've used a Doohickey die for the swirl leaf.

Once again I've stitched the edges using the gorge top stitch thread from the Ribbon Girl, the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.

The flowers and ribbon are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I was dead brave and cut into some gorgeous Pion paper, it was a tough decision though, lol.

I've coloured Tilda in with distress inks. One of the loveliest ladies I work with is retiring at the end of the month, the jammy so and so and I've made this card for her.

Friendship

Hi everyone, today I have a card that practically made itself.

I'm entering this into four challenges, firstly Magnolia-licious where there is a blue and brown colour theme. Just Magnolia and hAnglar stAnglar where they want you to use a doily. TOMIC where there is a friendship theme, and they want you to use a doohickey die and finally MDUC where there is a great sketch to follow.

The gorgeous blue and brown DP are from Maja Road, I've had them for a while and once again I had to convince myself that I actually buy the paper to make cards with and not just to look at, lol. I've also used several slightly different shades of Kraft, just to tie in with the brown theme. I've also used some bazzil bling card too. The doily has been cut out using a cheery Lynn die, these dies are just amazing with all of the detail on them.

The small tag has been stamped with a stamp from Lili of the Valley, I think the sentiment is from there too. I've used two magnolia doohickey border dies, and the tag die is also a doohickey. This is the first time I've attempted this style of card, and I really like it. The large die is from Go Kreate, I resisted any form of distressing this time, just in case I made a pigs ear out of it, and more importantly wasted that delish paper, lol. But, I do really like it, and I will defo be doing this style again. I've also used a couple of flowers and leaf swirls both cut out with doohickey dies, and the rest of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, as is the seam binding. The small heart charm I picked up off eBay.

Tilda with a Daisy has been coloured in with distress inks, with the slightest hint of glamour dust around her hem.

Thanks for looking,

Ribbons and Buttons

It's time for another challenge at My Mums Craft Shop Challenges, this week we're sponsored by Sew Sweet.

Elodie in her Garden, from Sarah Kay, has been coloured in with distress inks.

The paper is from K & Co, which I picked up from Dies to Die For, the corner dies are from a discontinued quickutz die.

The ribbon, lace and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The cute little buttons are actually brads and they were given to me from a lovely lady. I've used a ticket stamp from Whimsey Stamps, which I've just cut out freehand.

Pop over to MMCS and give this weeks challenge, 'Ribbons and Buttons', a go.

Take care,

Annie

I've got a new card to share with you all, this is a real oldie and she's called Annie. I love all of the Maggies and these early ones are so simple yet effective.

I've been wanting to get some of these for a while, isn't she sweet?

I'm entering this into Simply Magnolia where the theme is 'pink &/or red and white'.

All of the papers are from Magnolia, as is the flower die, the border die and the tag die. The doily die is from Cheery Lynn. Again I've stitched my papers. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, so is the ribbon. I've coloured Annie in with distress inks.

Better keep this short, with it being Shrove Tuesday the kids are patiently waiting for their pancakes.

Hugs and Kisses

Hope you're all having a nice weekend.

This is my DT card for Lovely Haenglar Only Challenge, yes that's right I was asked to be on the DT here too. When I got the e-mail off Sara once again I couldn't reply quickly enough. I've always loved checking this challenge out, this was one of the first challenges I entered and was the first one where I came in the top 3.

I picked this little cutie up off ebay a few weeks ago, she's been coloured with distress inks.

I think all of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the white silk ribbon is, as is the metal corner.

The papers are by K & co, and I got them from Dies to Die For, I've distressed the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink, and machine stitched them. The small ticket sentiments are from Whimsey.

Pop over to LOH for the first challenge since the break where the theme this fortnight is 'Anything Goes', and the prize up for grabs is from The Ribbon Girl.

Take care

'3-2-1'

Hi everyone,

I've been wanting to colour in in black and white for quite some time, and with the kids being off this week I've had a few moments to myself when I've been sat with my inks out and this cutie is the result.

I was really pleased with how she turned out, and how easy it was to do. I'm going to have a few more monochrome images methinks, lol.

I'm entering this card into TOMIC's challenge, '3-2-1' a recipe. They want 3 different DP's, check although my third is actually the doily die. All of my papers are from Magnolia. There needs to be 2 embellishment's, check-my tag and flowers. I couldn't believe my luck when I saw the colour of that carnation sat in my box. And finally, 1 main stamped image, check-Congratulation Tilda.

I've stitched the papers together using some fab top stitch thread available from The Ribbon Girl. I think I got a bit optimistic in my stitching abilities though. I'd already decided I wanted to use this nestie, before I decided I wanted to stitch them together, it was right at the end it happened too.

That's it for me. I took the kids school shoe shopping yesterday, that was errr 'fun'!! Even the promise of MacDonald's didn't keep them totally well behaved. Today is a lazy day, and I think we'll brave the pictures tomorrow :-S

My First DT Card

Happy Wednesday, today's the day that I have my first DT card.

The prize up for grabs this week is 2 images from Emerald Faeries, and the theme is 'Swirls and Pearls'.

This is the first digital image I've used, it's from Saturated Canary and it's called 'Thank You'. These little darlings are so cute, I was really spoilt for choice, which is why I bought 6, lol. Krista has a free one to be downloaded click here.

I printed her out onto Fabriano 5 paper, and coloured her in with distress inks. I wasn't sure if this would work, which is probably why I've never bought any digi's before. There wasn't a single smudge of ink, so I'll def be buying more digi's.

The paper is from the new release from Bildmalarna, and the brown is Kraft. The swirl die is from Magnolia, available here.

The sentiment die is from Lili Of The Valley, the roses and ribbon are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Once again I've used liquid pearls on my card. I just love how you can have whatever size you want, right down to little diddy ones.

Come along and have a play.

Smile

I've had a lovely crafty weekend, this is my third card I've made. I've currently got a joint of pork roasting in the oven. We used to always go round to my Mam's for our dinner, my Dad loved us all being there. My brother and I have two children each so you can imagine the noise, lol. Our last Sunday dinner, together, at my Mam and Dads was 5th December. I must admit I'm finding Sundays the hardest day to get through since we lost them. But, my cards and kids are keeping me busy, and I do think it's doing me good being kept busy.

I'm entering this card into MDUC, where the theme this week is one word sentiments. The sentiment 'Smile' is from Lili of the Valley.

The papers are from Raspberry Road, they're having a sale at the mo too, it's on until February 14th. The flowers and seam binding are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The key charm and the small piece of cheesecloth I picked up off eBay.

The corner dies are a discontinued quickutz die, which I got off a lovely lady. I've also used a cheery lynn doily die, and magnolia doohickey dies.

Tilda with Daisy has been coloured in with distress inks. I'd better be off, I've got the veg to prepare.

Take care,

Woo Hoo

Morning, has anyone noticed the badge I'm displaying at the top left?? I'm sooo pleased to have been asked to be on the design team at My Mums Craftshop Challenges, when Carrie e-mailed me I could hardly reply quickly enough. We have a new challenge every Wednesday, so pop over and have a look.

Here is toady's card.

I'm entering this into Just Magnolia and hAnglar stAnglar, where the theme this week is pink&pearls&lace. I've actually used liquid pearls, as I think they are much more versatile, you can have the sizes you want rather than what you have left, lol.

I'm still opening new packets of things that I bought while I was unable to find my mojo after the loss of my parents. The heart is a Whimsey die, that's been distressed with Tim Holtz ink and a Lili of the Valley stamped on. Another of my new buys are the Magnolia Doohickey Hellebore's. I've also used Magnolia doohickey Heart Swirl and Tilda lace, both available at My Mums Craftshop.

The papers are from Magnolia, and the flowers and lace are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Rose Scent Tilda has been coloured in with distress inks. I'm off to do some more colouring.

Take care,
