Easter

Hope you're all having a great weekend, I've never stopped. My club kit arrived on Thursday and I've only got round to inking one up today, mind you it was at 6.30am! I've managed to finish this card too between baking and egg giving. It's my nephews Christening tomorrow and I'm making a few quiches and a load of cupcakes. So I'm having a  quick sit down and a cuppa while I post this.

I live right on the coast and have spent numerous hours when I was little plodging, mainly in rock pools and the paddly pool on the beach so this one was definitely the first one I had to ink up. I'm not to great at colouring curls, but I'm quite happy with this one. I'm a bit happier with my clouds this time though.

The papers are Inkado. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the ruffle ribbon and top stitch thread are from the ribbon girl, I'm not sure where the lace if from. I've popped a few mini butterflies from a Martha Stewart punch on the flowers, just to tie in the paper and the butterflies around Tilda.

I'm entering this card into Just Magnolia where 'anything goes' this week. It's also going into the challenge at Wild Orchid Challenge where they want to see 'Things With Wings', there's plenty of butterflies on here, and the flowers are from WOC.  I'm also entering it into Fashionista, this is a new challenge site and for their first theme is 'Anything Goes For Girls', I think it's quite girlie.

Better get back into the kitchen, no doubt I'll have my 'helpers', or that should be 'spoon lickers', lol.

Hi everyone,

What a carry on I've had with blogger. A few weeks ago I managed to accidentally change my blog name-but, I thought I'd stick with it. I thought that if my old name no longer existed then there'd be no problem, but oh no!! I know a few people were having problems, even when the entered my new name it kept directing them back to my old one, so to keep things easy (after losing 3 hours the other day) I've decided to go back to my old name.

Here's today's card.

I've used 'Meant to be' from the new release from Lili Of The Valley, and I've coloured it in with distress inks. I've attempted clouds, for the first time-I'm not sure if they're too subtle. I'm entering this into Lili's Little Fairies challenge, were the theme this week is 'Ribbons and Bows'.  I'm also entering it into Crafting Lifes Pieces 'Sketch #46'.

The paper is from Bildmalarna, and I've distressed the edges with Walnut Stain ink, and sewn them using that great top stitch thread from the Ribbon Girl again. The taffeta ribbon is also from there. I don't tend to use buttons on my cards and I found this one in a bag of Christmas coloured ones and don't have a clue where it's from. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft. The dies that the sentiment is on are from Whimsy, I bought the tiny tab letters off eBay an age ago.

That's it from me, my Magnolia Stamp kit arrived this morning and I'm itching to get one inked up.

Hi everyone,

I told you I had some exciting news, and here it is. Midweek Magnolias were hunting for a guest DT, which of course I was interested in, well Anne e-mailed me and asked me if instead of a GDT spot did I want a permanent spot, and of course the answer had to be yes!! So I am now the newest member of the Midweek Magnolia's DT, yay!!!

Challenges are called challenges for a reason, and well the theme this week is 'Homespun', and I didn't have the foggiest, so with a little help from my teamies I interpreted it as 'Country Cottage Chic', so flowers, distressing and natural fibre seemed the way to go.

Here's my interpretation of the theme. I've coloured Tilda in with distress inks and used paper from Magnolia and K&Co. I've used a distress tool to distress the edges of the DP and I've distressed the other edges with Walnut Stain and gold pen.

I've stitched the edges using that gorgeous top stitch thread from the Ribbon Girl, the twine is also from there. It's just hit me, I've made a card with no lace OR ribbon, and I'm not sure how, lol!!! I've used the colours in the paper to match my flowers too, which are from Wild Orchid Craft, and I was able to use quite a few colours.

The fence die is from Magnolia.

Easter

Hello,

Where is this year going? I cannot believe it's April already, and Easter is only a week away.

Here's today's card,

I'm entering this card into TOMIC's challenge #43 where there is an inspirational photo and an Easter theme. I'm also entering this into MDUC where they want to see your Easter cards and also into Deep Ocean Challenge where they want to see masked images.

I can only apologise for the photo's, I took them last night when the sun had gone and I had to use lamps in the photo tent. I've masked Tilda onto some Easter eggs and coloured the image in with distress inks. The ribbon and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I'm off into the depths of blogger now, I changed my blog name a few weeks ago and even with my new name it keeps linking back to my old one, and I really cannot understand why :(

Here's my card.

I've used die cut roses from the same paper I've made the card with from Tim Holtz. The large roses are Die-namics Royal Roses and the small one is Die-namics mini rolled rose.

I've added liquid pearls to the centres of the roses. The lace is from The Ribbon Girl.

I've coloured the image in with distress inks, this has to be one of my favourite girls.
